Best Mexican cuisine in Albuquerque. The mole was made perfectly and the drinks were the best.

My wife and I went last week and had an amazing time. The entrees came out fast and were extremely tasty. Our server, Jenna, had a great attitude and was very attentive. Even gave us some good hiking recommendations because were new to the area. Will definitely be coming back soon!

I don’t usually write reviews but I was so disappointed by this experience. I first waked in to the sawmill and smelled grilled shrimp. Immediately decided to get tacos from this place. Seeing the price was 18$ for 3 I was suspicious but I wanted to give it a shot because it smelled good. I asked the cashier how many shrimp come with a taco and she said 3-4. I said okay that sounds like it’ll be filling and a good amount. I waited close to 30 minutes and when I saw these tacos I was shocked by how little was on them. 2 small shrimp in each taco and the slightest amount of every other topping. They had little flavor, I’d say mediocre at best. I could get a better taco for 3$ elsewhere. I asked someone next to me if they got the same and he said he had one shrimp on one of his tacos with the same long wait time. On top of that they gave him guac and chips for his long wait.. and I got 3 sad tacos. I normally would say something about my food if it didn’t seem right but I’ve never been so upset by a meal that I’ve simply walked away. And based on the other reviews I was am not the only one who experience a poor meal and slow service:/

Why isn’t this place packed? Everything was delicious and priced well for the quality. The misto was great and the sauce fantastic. The chili relleno was outstanding with the shrimp perfectly cooked. The enchiladas-both mole and pork were excellent. Try out this restaurant you will not be disappointed!

Handling of reservation and seating excellent. Mahi mahi & poblano stuffed excellent. Kitchen preparation time very slow.

Well…. How can you make a soup to taste like absolutely nothing? I even poured shoyu sauce on it to help and a lot of salt and it was tasteless. They were very generous with the chicken portion but it didn’t have any flavor. Also, the waitress was very nice but kept forgetting about our table. We really like the ambiance in the back as everything else was super loud and full. With that said. We don’t want to come back.
We had the plantain wrapped mahi mahi, the roasted half chicken, as well as the flora and mezcal margaritas. Everything was absolutely fantastic - we cleaned our plates! Fish was cooked to perfection and the mole was so fresh and delicious. Will be returning! We sat at the bar and enjoyed everything aside from the music being very loud.

This was quite literally the best tacos and margarita I’ve ever had in my life!!! I got a guava margarita and a mole, Carnitas, and shrimp taco…. SO GOOD! The girl who took my order was so sweet and she slayed tf out of margarita. I wish I lived in NM so I could come here again!!

This place was our favorite! We have lots of food allergies. There was something for everyone and a twist on traditional Mexican food. Light, delicious! They were a little understaffed, but very friendly!
