Both Breakfast burritos came out with a soggy tortillas so we decided to just eat the inside, which was decent. I got coffee but they only had one cream and plain sugar for options. The place definitely could use a deep clean. The area has alot of homeless so it was a bit sketchy pulling up to the restaurant. Otherwise, maybe stay away from the burritos.

The Frontier was a decent local restaurant that seems to have been around awhile. Located across from thd University of New Mexico, it makes sense this is a good place for locals. The set up of ordering at the counter and then picking up your food when your number is called seems to work well for quickly moving large numbers of people through quickly.

We went for breakfast and had a #1 (eggs, hash browns, carne adovada and a tortilla) and a #6 (huevos rancheros), both with red sauce. The food was fine. Just not quite as good as the other locations we've eaten at in town.

There are lots of tables and the atmosphere is comfortable.

I have not eaten the frontier for at least a decade. What an amazing meal I had with a good friend of mine who was in town and goes every time he visits albuquerque. I can see why. Somehow I forgot how good the food was. The red chile was the best I've had in a very long time.

It's a great establishment! Fast, good food, near all. It can seem hectic, especially after a Popejoy or isotopes event, but it's a perfect place to go after these events.

The Burrito meal was suggested by the cashier after I asked her what her favorite meal was. This meal was fantastic, great tasting, very nutritious. All food groups were presented beautifully. It was very energizing. Five stars Frontier! Thank you for being our favorite neighborhood restaurant!

I went here on the advice of a local. I was told it was really good and really authentic. I got in line and ordered the red Chile enchiladas, paid and waited for my number to be called. The food looked fresh and was hot. The side salad a nice addition to the main entree and rice. It was good ... not the best I've ever had but really good. I was hoping for a little more red chili flavor. I also tried the green enchiladas. I like those too. Again really good but not the best.
Update: it’s 7 years since my last visit and I had the green chili stew. Wow! Sooo delicious!

Great food in a key location near UNM. They even have a security guard on duty. So it feels safe.

I've seen this restaurant for years, but never stopped in before. I believe it is about a block long and accommodates a lot of people. I ordered at a counter and was given a ticket with a number on it and both listened and saw on a screen my ticket number indicating to go back to the counter to pick up my food order. Pretty much self service with drink station and picking up utensils. The food I ordered was simply okay. I'm glad I finally got to experience this restaurant. Nostalgic, and no reason for me to return.

Parking: Located across from the University of New Mexico with shops and other restaurants around. Free parking lot behind the restaurant and metered street parking.

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the ground floor and I did not notice any stairs, so wheelchairs are accessible.
