Delicious tasty Mexican breakfast (mine was veggie), really friendly staff and we loved the witty murals of Western gun-toting beans. Excellent valie and set us up for the day.
Came here in 2001 it was so amazing and I planned to come back It took 22years but was worth it. We came for breakfast but you can order the entire menu all day and I had Chile rellenos. Amazing!! Everyone else had breakfast and all bragged on their food Also my 29 wedding anniversary. Great celebration!! This place deserves to be more stars
Took my 96 old mother for brunch after her doctors appointment. Ordered Andy's Juevos, which typically features eggs, refried beans, potatoes, and a choice of red or green chili. Our order arrived fairly promptly but that is about as positive a feedback I can give for customer service. The meal was warm, not hot, suggesting it was sitting on the counter for a while before the waitress got it. The papas were not well cooked and red chili just simply did not meet the heat quotient for us natives. Not sure what explains the decline in quality and quantity. Garcia's has a reputation to protect and should take its loyal customer base for granted.
I truly enjoy the food at Garcia’s however the waitress Stephanie at the 4th street store today was so rude. She ruined my appetite and day. NO customer should ever be treated with disrespect.
the service is so slow. We went through the drive through and they made us wait for an hour in a hot parking lot
Great food, nice atmosphere.
the service was awesome🔥🔥
Thank you Gracias! For your great service! Our family enjoyed the Enchiladas, carnitas, tamales., ☺ green and red chili is perfectly, spicy. P.S. thank you for lending us the hot boxes it was hot and fresh! Thank you cooks! You all are awesome!
Recommended by a local and we weren’t steered wrong. Combination plate was heaven. Great tacos with excellent flavor. To die for enchiladas with perfect texture. Tamales are good as well. Love the extra green chilies as this is the season. The sopapillas are the best ever. Friendly service and quite attentive. Fair prices.
They always skimp on the chili and if as for extra they charge you more. Trying to pay for your bill they will answer phone and take order and leave you waiting. They advertise they sale tortillas, went in to buy a dozen and they told me they didn't have any. Don't know how they were making burritos that day with no tortillas?? They also charge for chips and salsa, what Mexican Restaurant does that, Garcia's Kitchen cheapos I now go to Weck's or Sadie's and avoid Garcia's Kitchen even though they are closer to home.

Some of the best New Mexican food I’ve ever had! Can’t wait to return next time I’m home.
My enchilada (flat, New Mexican style) was very good. The real treat was a basket with two sopaipillas. When I grew up in New Mexico, basically every New Mexican restaurant would serve these free with the meal... they're great for cooling the fire of the chile. Many restaurants now charge extra for these bits of fried dough, sometimes as dessert... what a shame!
Went her on recommendation, some of the best Mexican Southwest food have ever had.Had the the stuffed sopapilla - really good. Also , the Trio Special with guacamole, queso, and salsa - all three ingredients were better than most. The murals on the wall were entertaining. The breakfast menu looked interesting and worth a trip back. Service was a little slow , but wasn't in a hurry.
We were passing through Albuquerque this past weekend, and were looking for non-chain, local restaurant. Garcia's happened to be close to our hotel, so we tried it. First good sign, lots of "locals" enjoying the food. Second, a good selection of foods. Third, the taste, especially the beans and green chili , was awesome. The price of the meal was acceptable. Service was good, but not overly friendly. They kept us supplied with refills, and checked on us often. The only thing we missed, being from Texas, was the free chips and salsa.
I was shopping on Central and looking for a lunch spot when I saw Garcia's across the street. "You can always get a good meal at Garcia's" I told a fellow shopper, and I was right again. The green chile stew was flavorful, filling, and had a nice kick to it, but not too much heat for a Southerner like me. Tortillas were very fresh and my meal came out quickly after ordering. Sopapillas always end the meal right. Garcia's is also a terrific place for breakfast, and this location has its own parking lot, always a plus on Central.
