Giovanni's Pizzeria

Was reliving the old days here in Albuquerque as I am up for visit. My first flophouse kind of late teens apartments was in this area (which has completely changed). Giovannis was our go to place for cheap pizza to soak up all the beer so when I saw the place on Google, I had to go get a pizza for the old days. Problem is It kinda tasted like they had made it back then and had it waiting for me all those years on the shelf. The toppings and crust were DRY. Pizza was warm but the thin coating of cheese sort of stuck together like a sheet. Do not get me wrong, depending on how much you had to drink (no alcohol served), this is acceptable pizza. However, no family traditions passed down here. Just college age kids pushing out cost effective food!

It's really good pizza, that small shop feel. It definitely had that more homemade taste compared to chain store pizza. Casual walk-in restaurant. Not located in the best part of town but worth the adventure.

SUPERB pizza place! Cheese bread was fantastic and the OG pepperoni and cheese was spot on, thin with a crispy bottom yet chewy crust with the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. Definitely the best spot around town imo. Will return a lot. Also, the house made cannoli was fantastic!

I have eaten many, many white pizzas and this is easily the worst white pizza I have ever had.

I took it back and I was told this is what a white pizza is supposed to look like. Y’all should be ashamed.

1st time going and I will most definitely be going back. I grabbed a couple of slices and a slice of cheese cake. The crust of the pizza thin and crispy. The sauce super amazing and flavorful. Totally recommend this spot. Also the prices are fairly reasonable for sure.

Lots of 5 stars for what I consider bland, freezer section pizza. I tried but I don’t get it. I’ve had pizza around the world, including often in NYC, and this ain’t it. Wish it weren’t the case because a lot of people seem to love their pizza and I wanted to love it, too.

I am originally from NYC. Giovanni's is the closest Albuquerque has to New York style pizza! The dining room decor takes me back to time square after clubbing. Stopping at the local pizza shop to grab a slice!❤❤❤❤

The pizza here is the Best . I have to say this place always hits the spot you can always count on this pizza being fresh and super hot Best in the city
