I had not had an opportunity to get across town in a while. It was better than I remembered it. Outstanding!
Food- Cubano was okay, but priced a little too much for the quantity and content. I’ve had better and bigger cubanos at same price or cheaper in ABQ and even NY.
Service- I asked for an in person service and paid a gratuity for that. For the server to callously shove a brown bag in my face was downright rude.
Atmosphere- dimly lit and badly maintained. Crumbs lying around. Dusty chairs. Felt more like a hole in the wall eatery and that would’ve been fine had the food not been that hotly priced. First impressions of the restaurant should’ve raised a red flag, but then I was taught not read a book by its cover.
Feel the place charges higher for just being in nob hill, which in all honesty is not like Beverly Hills. Restaurant folks need to be realistic about what their serve and how they price it.

So tasty. I had the rice and bean bowl. Service was quick. This restaurant has you order/pay at a kiosk first then clear your own table after. No problem, it was great and convenient.

Absolute gem for incredible and authentic Latin American staples. The Pelotero (ropa vieja) is a must try - one of my favorite dishes ever. They also have very good coffee and drinks. I have had a few of there sandwiches which were pretty good, but I have a hard time getting anything other than the Pelotero since it’s just that good.

It's too bad the rating is capped at 5 stars because these guys deserve 10. Guava Tree catered our backyard wedding and we don't have enough good things to say. Diego and his team showed up and got right to work, we didn't have to lift a finger or spare a thought. Brisket 10/10, roasted pork 10/10, yucca fries 10/10, rice and beans 10/10, plantains 10/10, service 100/10. Guests were raving about the food and there was more than enough for everybody to have as much as they wanted with plenty of leftovers. Whether you're looking for a delicious uncomplicated meal or catering for your event, give Guava Tree a try; you won't be disappointed. In fact, if your experience is at all like ours was you will be blown away. Thank you Diego for helping to make our wedding day unforgettable!

Food was great. Service was quick and courteous. The atmosphere was somewhat off since the restaurant is located in an old house, however someone could call it old fashioned, rustic, or quain. Had Cubano sandwich and pernil sandwich.

Delicious Authentic Latin food! Try the Arepa del Perro or the Yuca Frita if you are unfamiliar to the menu. It’s all good. Perfect for lunch! I’d leave a photo but I already ate all the food.

This place doesn’t miss. No better lunch in abq. A little pricey, but worth it for quality, fresh food you can’t get anywhere else in town.

Been coming here since they opened and am so excited for them to be celebrating 15 years in 2025! Wonderful people, amazing food (everything is great but the pastries are so so good), and really enjoy the walled patio out front. First place I ever got to try cafe con leche 🥰. I hope I get to come back for many years to come.
