The Habibi house is closed. It’s now an Afghan restaurant called Majestic

Habibi House is hands down the best halal restaurant in Albuquerque, New Mexico. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel like I was part of the family. The menu at Habibi House is a perfect blend of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors. Every dish is prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients, creating a burst of flavors in every bite. The hummus is creamy and the falafel is crispy, and the lamb kabobs are cooked to perfection. I highly recommend their chicken shawarma, which is juicy and full of spices. The staff at Habibi House is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They are always happy to suggest dishes and help you navigate through the different options. The service is top-notch and they make you feel like a VIP every time you dine there. In addition to the delicious food, Habibi House also has a beautiful and cozy ambience. The decor is a mix of traditional and modern, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. I particularly love the Arabic music playing in the background, which adds to the overall experience. But what truly sets Habibi House apart is their commitment to halal food. As a Muslim, it can be challenging to find halal restaurants in certain areas, but Habibi House ensures that all their dishes are prepared following strict halal guidelines. This is a huge plus for me, as I can eat here without worrying about the food being halal or not.Overall, I highly recommend Habibi House to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic halal dining experience in Albuquerque. The food, service, and ambience are all top-notch, making it the best halal restaurant in the city. I guarantee that once you try their food, you'll keep going back for more.

My family and I tried Habibi house tonight and I wanted to let you know that it was not only delicious food, but that the owner and cook (a woman named Rose) is a delightful, personable, friendly woman with a commitment to providing her businesses patrons with an authentic, healthy, cooked from scratch meal in a pleasant ambiance. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Please pass this on to anyone you know who enjoys delicious middle eastern food. Also, whatever you do, try the baklava! It is truly tremendous!

One of the worst meals we’ve ever had. Both the gyro meat and the souvlaki chicken were so dry and hard you couldn’t even stick a fork in it. The souvlaki was supposed to come with rice, pickles, and a salad. We got no rice or pickles, and the salad was little more than a sprinkle of pale, garnish quality lettuce. The side of rice we did get was completely flavorless. We asked for no olives on the salad that comes with the gyro, and it still had olives in it. Lastly, it was such a small amount of food we had to make ourselves another dinner afterwards. We ate every sad bit of food Habibi house sent and we were still hungry. Overall, a very disappointing meal, especially for the price.

Got a gyro sandwich, and all the meat was dried out, like it had been sitting for a couple hrs. It was 7:30 pm. Had high hopes for this

My partner and I tried Habibi House for the first time today. Our food was delicious, incredibly fresh, and the staffers were wonderfully kind. We'll definitely be back.

I never knew this place existed. I happened to be buying something off facebook marketplace, and the owner's wife said I could meet up at their restaurant. We got to chatting, and I saw they had lentil soup (something I hadn't had since my monthlong visit in Turkey). The lady said I could come by and try the soup when I bought my item from her. So we came by, and tried a grill plate, the chicken shawarma, soup, and a slice of cheesecake.Everything was hands down delicious! The rice was flavorful. The meat was super tender and tasty. The presentation of the food was beautiful! We will definitely be back. I'm so excited to find a tasty restaurant with good prices. I can't wait to return, and I will definitely be excited for my leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Also as another huge plus, the owner is super friendly and welcoming.I definitely recommend this place!

Waaw $40 for pan fried overcooked butter chicken (no chicken broth flavour) with slimy butter rice (no scent on f saffron to be found! The fresh bread was incredible and hummus good.... but literally the food was food I wouldn't serve for free. Sigh - sitting at Pho restaurant now. (i've had shwarma wverywhere on this planet.... chicken flavoured w/ Knorr wasn't what I drove an hour to eat.

This block of Silver Avenue, just a block south of the classic Route 66 in Albuquerque's Nob Hill has a most delightful trio of unique local restaurants. Sitting in between the wonderful and healthy breakfast/lunch spot, Limonata and the gloriously gourmet Colombian restaurant. Ajiaco, is an equally delightful Middle Eastern spot, Habibi House. The souvlaki is perfectly seasoned and grilled, the shawarma sublime, the rice light and fresh, the salad sprightly and tantalizing, the Tajikistan best of breed, and the baklava varieties glorious. The dining room is small but pleasant. Service is congenial. A wonderful dining experience.
