Worst restaurant me and my family ever been!! Food was bland and tasted bad we had to go somewhere else save your money maybe not eat in old town
Cant believe the city allows this place to stay open were its located!!! Food was Nasty and employees saying they dint get paid and you can hear them yelling at each other.. Dont to this place its a mess!!
went to eat early dinner but it was shut down at 6PM. hopefully, it was not closed due to Coronavirus.
The bean burrito place was good.
There was a plumbing issue the day I reserved for February 14th and so I had to go find a different restaurant and that was hard because everywhere was packed it sucked I wish the would of told us before there was a plumbing issue so we could of made other plans.
There are other restaurants in Albuquerque with better service and food. I was visiting and thought this place would be a good choice, I was so wrong. The service was terrible. The place was dirty and smelled weird. Our waitress must have had a bad day, she gave me and friend attitude. The food wasn't so good, nothing special. For being in a touristic area, they really need to focus on customer service and highlighting New Mexican food which is so good.
Went here last week and there was a note on the door stating they were closed due to plumbing issues. After confirming they were open last night, we arrived at 6:15pm and they were closed, no note this time. Their website stated they are open till 9:00pm. We've been going here for years, NEVER AGAIN!!!
AND THEN THERE WAS...
Great drinks, food good. Awesome bartender, he took great care of us.
The three stars, is mainly for the location and ambiance...the staff is nice enough as well, but the food left "a lot" to be desired. I tried to eat there on two occasions, to give it a fair chance. I wouldn't ever recommend, nor return again.

Good location in Old Town. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Good variety of menu options.Very nice atmosphere and very relaxed. We had the rolled enchiladas and the burrito plate and both were very good. Our server, Christine, was very good and checked on us regularly. Good experience.
I was very disappointed with the service and quality of the food!!!
Absolute WORST food we have ever eaten, ever. The beans tasted like nothing, the rice was both mushy and burned, the beef tacos were boring, and worst of all... the only flavor was the EXTREMELY SPICY combination meals. We were gagging and choking. Do not eat here. Also, they “ran out” of salsa. OMGGGGG
Excellent happy hour margarita prices for only $5!The sampler platter appetizer was more than big enough to serve as two entrees plus more to take home. I had a pleasant experience.
While at the 2019 New Mexico Bowl, the four of us decided to visit Albuquerque's Old Town. After shopping awhile we decided to pick out a restaurant and see what it had to offer. We picked right. The atmosphere was wonderful the smells of cooking food made your mouth water. My brother in law and I do not drink but our wives wanted to have a Margarita. They said that their drinks were some of the best that they have had while we were in Albuquerque. The food was wonderful full of flavor and the salsa that was served was not as hot as some we had tried. We would certainly recommend Hacienda Del Rio as a place to rest and eat.
