Hayashi Japanese Steakhouse

This hibachi experience was absolutely amazing! Kong was our grill cook and he was phenomenal!! truly a 5-star performance from start to finish. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and he made the whole experience fun and memorable. Our server, Sireya, was just as wonderful! She was attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed.
What meant the most to me was how welcomed my children were. They weren’t just tolerated! they were treated like family. The staff made them feel comfortable and included the entire time, which made our night even more special.
Highly recommend! We’ll definitely be coming back! 💖💖💖

I ordered a combination meal, which included steak and scallops. Upon distributing the food, I received four scallops, while my wife received five scallops. Additionally, another lady at the Teppanyaki table received 6 scallops. The chef proceeded to distribute portions of scallop to all other individuals at the table, totaling six others. Again resulting in a half-serving. A similar approach was applied to the steak, resulting in approximately half a serving for me. My son was served the filet and shrimp, and the chef further distributed pieces of steak to the young girls seated at the table. Subsequently, he prepared the chicken, distributed it to those who had ordered it, and provided me with a piece of onion. In the future, whether at this location or any other, I intend to request that my meal be cooked individually rather than as part of a group. The chef typically cuts all the steaks together, which resulted in me being underserved, as evidenced by the outcome. Spending $200 for three meals, inclusive of tip but excluding drinks, for the quality of service received, was highly disappointing.

Better than I thought it would be. Not because of the location, or competition from the numerous fusion chains out West. To tell the truth, it's hard to find really good Japanese authentic cuisine that isn't tied to some other sideline cuisine or chain.

We didn't go for the BBQ side, it was just for a quiet dinner for two. Which brings me to a big plus at Hayashi. If you're celebrating or in a group of colleagues or friends, the party atmosphere of the steak grill side is just right to get all the advantages of grilling right in front of you and fresh veggies, meat and seafood. Which is something truly special.

We chose the diner area. More casual, a la carte, reasonably priced rolls, sushi, tempura, noodles, etc. I had a crunchy fried pork guioza and a delicious California Roll. My mate opted for the vegetable and seafood tempura. Cocktails and beer were the perfect beverage for our casual choices and we were very happy.

We're often in Albuquerque so we were really happy to find Hayashi for future trips. Delicious fare, reasonably priced. Super nice staff and informal atmosphere makes it extra pleasant!

The best habachi food we have ever had. Our server was very patient and helpful. The plum wine was perfect. I had the lobster and scallops which were cooked to perfection. My daughter had the steak. We didn't realize that we forgot to take pictures because the food was that good. The portions are very big.

Got table 45 minutes after reservation. After being told when we checked in that all of us had to be there before we could be seated. Which none weren't late, we all were there. Which made me believe that they could get us seated being all were present. I mean why make that remark if your not even close to being able to seat us. Other than that everything was great once we got seated. The service was very attentive and professional the food was perfect, I got the hibachi steak and the chef was very entertaining. We all had a great time.

Great food and great service. We ordered hibachi and sushi and they appear to be made with care and pride. Our servers have always been attentive and friendly despite clearly being busy. But why no yum yum sauce!??? Whyyyyyyyy????!!! 😝
