I go for the tamales but I've heard that the menudo and posole always sell out because of how good they are!

One of the best places to get Menudo and their Pan Blanco is superior to other bakeries in Albuquerque.

Best menudo in town, no joke. It's the little hole in the wall places that make the best food!

Besides the hours being wrong, this place is great. Best menudo honestly. Please just fix the hours its frustrating coming and it being closed when it says it would be open.

I love the quality of food here!! I always get the menudo on weekends. It's delicious, fresh, and I highly recommend eating here or ordering it togo. Parking lot has no lines, but you'll get the vibe of how to park. This place switched to Cash Only though. I also recommend the desserts, it compliments the spiciness of the menudo 😁👍

While I would have LOVED to have dined here, alas my ol' high school buddy is a tenderfoot, and I usually steer clear of spicy options for his sake. But he certainly has no problem with their amazing Bolillos. They are far more dense then you may be used to, but are versatile; we've made garlic bread for an Italian din-din, toasted it to make breadcrumbs for meatballs, and paired them with amazing Tulley's deli meat. All deliciously toothsome. Front counter gal was cool, and while we ordered 6 rolls, when we opened the bag at home we had 10. A very nice bonus from her. Look past the appearance of this joint, and grab some of these beauties. Can't go wrong...

Walked in and walked right out. They had a couple of bags with bread for sale. Pretty run down establishment that probably shouldn't be selling food.

This place serves it's purpose. A hole in the wall that is definitely worth finding. If you want ambiance keep walking. This place feeds you and says thank you and goodbye see you next time. For sures worth the drive across town to get those bolillos and menudo. If you land on the day they got conchas you hit the jackpot. It is a hit and miss on that but never a disappointment. The women in the back are busy filling orders so don't be peepee hearted if they don't make you feel special. Get over yourself. Order your food and get out of the way because you are between me and my menudo. Great place.

I bought Menudo to go a few weeks ago, when I was about to eat the bread that comes with the menudo, it had RAT FECES. Also some of the menudo looked burned. Never going back. Helens bakery has been known for having great quality food but now they have downgraded. It’s a disappointment.
