I'm here pretty often and I've tried nearly half the menu, so far without disappointment. The fish and chips are great with the green chile tartar sauce and Friday night's "New Mexican style" chicken fried steak was a real treat!
Whether the sports excitement is something to be celebrated or tolerated depends more on the visitor than the venue. Folks have fun.

Great unique place. Lots of options for food and drink. Sports bar atmosphere. Good service. Food was good. Red Chile was way too hot to eat, but overall good.

Horse and Angel Tavern is one of the best bars in northeast Albuquerque. They have a full bar and a laidback, enjoyable sports atmosphere. The staff are nice and the food is delicious. This has been one of my favorite spots for the last 5 years! Try the Angel Fire wings, grab a beer, and have a laugh!

This is a message to the owners, I’ve been a regular coming here about once a week for the past two years. So believe me when I say, the quality of the food has gone downhill the last few months. I just ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and got a small piece of fried chicken skin with maybe an ounce of meat, shoved between two buns, and you wanna charge $14 for that? Not to mention the wait times are always ridiculously long, almost certainly because the owner refuses to hire enough staff. This is the last straw for me and I’m done.

Been here twice. The Cajun catfish is good. The fish and chips are not. However, there's a lot of tvs for watching football.

Everything was too salty. I am pretty sensitive to salt, so it may be just me, but I couldn't eat the asparagus at all

Definitely has gone downhill somewhat over the years. Still has a friendly local pub vibe. Food was somewhat lackluster, not something I would write home about. Was either an off day or because it was lunchtime in the beginning of the week but more than one waitress had a sour attitude.
