I Scream Ice Cream

So much fun! Very nice young lady working behind the counter, delicious ice cream (too many flavors to choose from lol!) and delicious coffee too! And lots of different used toys for the kiddos to play with! Will definitely be returning!

Outstanding place. Didn't want to leave! A must see!!

I've been coming here since I was a kid, and still find things on the walls I've never spotted before. I was a little worried after Bill retired, but the new management is great--they kept the same magic and now they even have stickers for sale. I Scream Ice Cream has an important place in the heart of the ABQ community, and is just a wonderful place to have a sweet treat!

Edit to new review based on reply: it's NOT the same management. And all prior staff have quit. Allen, I didn't enjoy it under you due you your rudeness, gaslighting, and yelling at high schoolers... and the creepy new take on social media you've deployed. So I'll edit it to one star instead of two.

New review: (2 stars) too many different owners over the past few years. I miss Bill and then Elycia running the place. All the long-time workers dipped and the new owner's replies to some reviews highlight exactly why.

Old review: (5 stars) Ice cream served with a side of magic and curiosity. Been coming here for over a decade and Bill quite literally never fails to make my day.

Amazing ice cream and great nogalstic atmosphere

Hands down, this is the absolute best ice cream in the entire town. We drove all the way from El Paso just to come here and have some!

We had to leave before ordering because the smell was so overpowering it was making me nauseous. Mixture of chemical and dirt smell.
The counter menu had several hairs on it as well.

Super cute retro ice cream shop with so many flavors and toppings (first topping is free). Great date spot! They even have a fun zone where kids can play plus coffee for the tired parent. The owner was super friendly and the service was top notch, we will be back!
