Wish they would have stayed a fully vegan restaurant. It was so delicious. So bummed they switched their whole business plan. #Veganuary

The pastries here are excellent, absolutely delicious. It tastes like they're using the same high quality ingredients that other local bakeries charge twice as much for. You can't get a better pastry for these prices in albuquerque, and depending on your taste buds you could argue that you just can't get a better pastry in general around albuquerque than Knead. The employees and location are great too, just a fantastic bakery overall.

Thanks to Chef Steph people are still talking about how incredible the food was at our wedding, and I am still dreaming about it myself.

The feedback from our guests was out of this world — many said it was not only the best food they'd ever had at a wedding, but even the best meal of their lives!

For years I searched far and wide across New Mexico for someone with Steph's level of talent. And the wait was worth it! Her team was by far the standout vendor of the day, going above and beyond our expectations in both extraordinary flavor and service.

The food at my event was such a hit that people were going back for thirds and fourths. In fact, we really wanted left overs for ourselves and planned to donate extras to a local shelter and do good, but the buffet was so tasty, there was barely a single bite left!

Right from the beginning Steph was inspired and professional to work with. She was super receptive to the ideas on Pinterest I showed her and recreated many of my dreams perfectly.

Together we designed a menu of comfort food – grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters – and Italian buffet of creamy linguini and zucchini involtini.

And of course, we had to have her signature donuts. Flavors we opted for were cookies and cream and strawberry shortcake.

From lemon bars to cherry almond Bride's cake, the dessert bar was ultra dreamy and the guests couldn't stop raving about the chocolate and caramel churros. It was so delectable, we couldn't even keep guests away from dessert before the cake cutting. Which to me means it was a wild success!

Chef was amazing about considering all appetites - from food allergies and intolerances, including nuts and gluten. Her divine grazing table and a Caesar and grilled peach salad was a perfect touch to ensure everyone could enjoy and be healthy and feel great the next day.

The most difficult part about working with Chef Steph was choosing what dishes to include on our menu. Everything she does is so delicious and versatile, I was in a constant state of analysis paralysis because I wanted to try it all.

My husband and I were both sick of enduring rubbery chicken, overcooked steak, and questionable fish at the other weddings we had been to, and we wanted to spare our guests this misery.

During our world travels, we discovered how insanely delicious and fun eating vegan could be. We wanted to introduce our guests to some of this magic we ourselves had experienced abroad.

We didn't tell our guests the entire menu was vegan. When they found out at the end of the night, they were shocked and amazed that vegan food could be so delicious.

Which is exactly the response we were going for! It warmed my heart that some told me this was the first vegan meal they ever had in their lives.

Let me tell you, finding a vegan chef in New Mexico is no easy feat. I searched far and wide for YEARS. I am so grateful Steph finally appeared to answer my prayers.

I also wanted to make my wedding as eco-friendly as possible. Steph was endlessly patient and accommodating in brainstorming packaging and serving options to use paper instead of plastic. As a result, the event had a much more upscale, elegant vibe I was going for.

Whether you want to enjoy brunch at Knead, have an event catered, or attend one of her special coursed events, Chef Steph is not only a true artist, but also incredibly down to earth.

I am so grateful to have found Steph for our wedding. As a die hard foodie, I have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world and her cuisine is up there with the greats.

In the backwards, podunk, tragically animal product riddled wasteland that is the New Mexico's food scene, Chef Steph is a bright and shining voice of plant based inno

I went recently and there was really only one hot food menu item, a breakfast burrito with a handful of different preparations (premade, no customization). It was fine. Baked goods, as usual, were superb. I was told this shift was made so that owners could spend more time with their new baby (congrats!). I hope this model works for them. I'm definitely less inclined to go there now that the siren call of that spectacular cajun lion's mane dish and lemon curd pancakes has been silenced.

I took a friend from out of town to Knead Dough Bar for breakfast, expecting a great experience based on the website. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were greeted by a disgruntled employee who informed us they hadn’t served food in weeks, but the website hadn’t been updated to reflect that. When I asked for more information about the bakery, the employee’s response was, “I don’t know, I just work here,” which was unhelpful and frustrating. You’d think the staff would have some knowledge of the business!

I had specifically chosen this place to support a local CNM alumni-owned establishment, but I was told the owner is from Texas, so apparently, I had the wrong information as well. The whole experience was disappointing, and I won’t be returning. Communication and customer service are key, and both were severely lacking.

It's a nice little bakery shop, with fresh yummi banking goods and very good coffe. The owners are a very nice couple. The location is unique and cute. A nice place to enjoy a Croissant and a coffee.

This unassuming restaurant is a gem. Excellent plant based food and great coffee. Visiting from out of town this place hit all the right spots. Going to come a second time on my mini vacation for sure. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes delicious food.

I’m going to give an alternate take on the recent change in menu. I’ve been vegan for 30 years and I’m always happy to have any quality options that I can order (back when I first started you really couldn’t get anything of note in most restaurants).

I don’t run this restaurant (I’ve never even worked in one) so I can’t speak to the experience of what it is like to try and meet the needs of your clientele. All I can assume is that the decision to add eggs and dairy was grounded in practical realities of running a business.

This place still has plenty of vegan options and many that I’ve tried are delicious (I prefer the sweet stuff here to the savory). Shout out the cinnamon buns! What’s more, now things are clearly labeled as vegan (or not). Before I was reading about the menu being “plant-forward” (I don’t even know what the f that means) or “plant-based” (which people interpret in many ways). I actually consider that a positive change.

So, here’s a great little spot that’s got lots of vegan and vegetarian options, more than the majority of places in town. Atmosphere is nice, just don’t come if you’re in a hurry. Hating on these guys doesn’t help your cause. I understand it’s a bummer, we all want everyone to cater to us. But how many of you drove a car to eat here or buy clothes made in sweatshops? That’s unethical too. We’re all trying the best we can with what we’ve got. If you want to promote vegan options, be nice, man.

Great spot for vegans and veg friendly folks. My bf who’s Omni loved his breakfast burrito with red sauce. I loved the french toast twist thing.

They have wine and beer and mimosas AND are dog friendly!!

Visiting from out of town but otherwise would be here all the time.

My girl and I stumbled upon Knead on a Sunday morning. Not expecting much, we were very pleasantly surprised.

We ordered a couple iced lattes and a smothered breakfast burrito with red and green chile. The burrito was incredibly tasty, and was the best breakfast burrito I’ve had in many moons. The coffees were great as well. We also ordered a strawberry donut which was also tasty.

Can’t wait to come back and try the other items on the menu. It’s nice to feel that you’ve gotten your money’s worth. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone who wants to taste great food and drink. Looks like they also have beer on tap ?
