The food looks delicious in the photos. However, I've tried twice to eat lunch here and both times she closed early despite her own posted hours saying Its open until 3 pm. Its 1:30 now and it's closed. ???

La Cocina de Maria at The Imperial Food Hall is a true hidden gem! The chicharron and green chile pupusas are packed with bold, authentic flavor, and the steak tacos with beans and rice are perfectly seasoned and satisfying. Also tried the shrimp and chicken tacos—both fresh and flavorful. The fajita bowl is loaded and filling, and the quesadillas are cheesy and crisp. Don’t skip the churro and ice cream dessert—it’s the perfect sweet finish. Friendly service and seriously good food all around!
Maria’s food is made to order perfectly each and every time. I come here almost on a daily basis for lunch and her food is always cooked perfectly and her portions are generous. Not only is her food good but she is a truly humble and good person who always takes her time to greet you and converse as she prepares your meal. You’ll be satisfied and happy if you try her food. I highly recommend!

Amazing pupusas and food for a great value! We love their pupusas at the Downtown Grower's Market and their new location is just as good with an expanded menu! Everything is fresh, made-to-order, and perfectly cooked. Pupusas are still a staple here, but the expanded menu showcases even more vibrant flavors and fresh ingredients. I cannot recommend this place enough!
