Given the high reviews I was pretty disappointed by this experience. I ordered the taco platter to share with carnitas, rice, and beans. The portions were very large. The pork was very dry and flavorless. The beans were very flavorless. The Mexican rice was very tasty and moist (some of the best I've had). The Jalapeño green sauce was absolutely amazing. Wow! What a gem of a place.
Got the Loaded Birria Fries, which were fantastic! Smoky, tender meat with all the fixings. Very fulling and reasonably priced. Loved the jalapeno house salsa and the chipotle crema.
Service was fantastic, very friendly and courteous.
Definitely an older building, but nicely decorated and clean.
Highly recommended and I will definitely be back.

I wanted to try the old Quarters on Yale as I love BBQ. The restaurant is now called La Serenita. They serve Mexican food and the old Quarters menu (see attached). Today I decided to go for lunch. I walked in at 12:40pm & was the only person in the restaurant. What a shame. I sat down looked over the menu while my waitress brought me chips and jalapeño salsa which was amazing.
