Dine in permanently closed, rude service! They’re basically going out of business!

We wanted a place to eat close to our motel and this was only 2 blocks away. We were planning on eating there but when we got there, the dinig room was closed. We ended up taking our food back to the motel and eating on the patio as there was only one chair in the room.

They use distributor frozen egg rolls that are horrible. Way overpriced for the quality I will not be back. The egg foo young was decent but not worth going back for.

One of the original Chinese restaurants in town and the food can be good if they were open more often. Good help is hard to find. Let me know if you didn't have to a long time...... It will be a miracle

I ordered take out and a friend went to pick it up.When I opened up the bag at home, guess what? NO SOY SAUCE - NOT EVEN ONE MEASLEY PACKAGE. Are you kidding me???? They don’t even ask - “would you like soy sauce”? or just “Soy Sauce?”My friend assumed that they would have just put SOY SAUCE IN-THE-BAGas Chinese restaurants have done for centuries all over the world. Why? Because ON THE TABLE WERE I HAVE EATEN AT THE RESTAURANT - THE BOTTLE OF SOY SAUCE IS ALWAYS ON ON ON THE TABLE. Therefore, it would have been there for me because I am paying for the meal.So just because I am getting take-out, is not an excuse for LAZiNESS for depriving me of something that I should have/ would have had access to anyway. The lack of soy sauce totally ruined my meal. And my day.

Really good food! They also have new owners, so the food is even better now. Even better is I live right downtown.

I was kind of getting hungry when I left Old Town. So I started looking? for some place to eat. I started cruising my bike?‍♂️ down Central. There was this restaurant called LAM'S Chinese? I ate there before! It was pretty good, but it's been since the nineties. I remember 44 years ago that this place was A&W Root Beer restaurant it was like Sonic. You would just drive up Park and, they would come up and roller skates and get your order. it was so cool? We as a family go on the weekend and go to A&W Root Beer restaurant just to get a Root Beer Ice Cream Float? the waitress would bring them in a glass jugs? my dad and mom would get the big jugs? and the kids would get the tiny jugs? Then we'll cruise to the dog house? to grab bite to eat!

The prices are super high. And I hope I don't get food poisoning, I started feeling nauseous after I ate, the chicken in the chicken chow main didn't look too good, I kinda picked around the pieces. The egg rolls were tiny for $3, they are the size of spring rolls not egg rolls. And the fried rice had no vegetables in it. Totally not worth the outrageous price. My husband and I got 2 combination plates, 1 extra egg roll and a tiny side of orange chicken and it was $41! I do not want to go back!

I've been disappointed with the new ownership (and/or cooks) at Lam's on three different occasions. When it went under new ownership well over a year or two ago, I did not care for the flavors, texture, and portions of the restaurant that I literally frequented for 40 years (back when they were in the South Valley at Five Points). I gave the new couple about a year and tried again. Maybe a little improvement, but not much. Due to Covid, I didn't try again until the last weekend (carry out) and again, found no improvement. The scrimp fried rice and the pork fried rice were soggy and pretty much tasteless. The chicken entree was good but the Mongolian beef has way too many onions. I like onions as much as the next guy but you could barely see or taste the beef in that entree. The owners are very nice people and the atmosphere is quaint, but they need better (more experienced) cooks. Lots of places in town that serve authentic tastes. Kudos for remaining on the West side of town.

Found a roach in our fried rice a few months ago. Used to eat here twice a month. Will never go back.

Vetegarian egg foo young was delicious, best we've had. Fresh ingredients and properly cooked.
