Leona is one of those unassuming and hard-to-find restaurants that makes extraordinary Vietnamese and fusion dishes. Having lived in several major metropolitan cities in the US and Asia, I would never have expected such a fantastic meal in a town like Albuquerque. I’ve become a regular customer. I’m so grateful you are here!

This place has fantastic pho! Coming from Westminster CA I am lucky to know what good pho is and this place is it! I got the rare steak pho and everything was great, especially the broth with all the fresh basil and onion. I will definitely be coming back and will be checking out more of the menu

One of the best Banh mi I have ever had in town. #4 banh mi was the bomb. This place is a hidden gem and I would definitely be back and try their rare steak Pho next time as recommended

First time trying this type of food. Every bite was flavorful. The mango tea was so refreshing on a very hot day. We tried a sandwich, pho, and a spring roll, delicious! The owner was also very informative, and even though it was counter service, he went out of his way to bring us our food. We will be back to try more menu items!

Stopped in while on a road trip, I’d skip it next time around unfortunately. Seems like the locals like the banh mi, I should’ve ordered one. I ordered shrimp spring rolls and a pork bun. Food was ready very quick, but because they actually just heat the bun in the microwave… covered in plastic wrap. Eeek. I still tried it & it was just not good at all, I ended up throwing it away. Spring rolls were okay, but also did not taste fresh. So come for banh mi and maybe the pho, but stay away from everything else.

I went on 2/8 food was good. service was not good at all the girl on the front looks like she didn’t want to be there. Also she charged extra my total was 74 dollars and now my phone shows 82 I didn’t ask for a receipt so I can’t go back and get my money back so please ask for a receipt when u go there.

They keep me coming back for the pork bao and ginger & cinnamon tea. I’ve had the combination Pho it is good but not my favorite. This spot is definitely a favorite Vietnamese on the westside.

Receptionist acted rude and like she didn’t want to be there. Shrimp and pork roll had one slice of pork two shrimp and the rest salad. Sandwich and pho was decent but not stellar. Probably won’t return.

Leona Banh Mi a Vietnamese fast-casual counter-serve restaurant on Coors. Their specialties are bánh mì, vermicelli bowls, and pho with a few other assorted options, like bao.

Patrons order at the front counter before choosing their own seating. There is both booth and regular table options. There are large signs explaining what bánh mì and pho are for those not familiar or who are trying Vietnamese cuisine for the first time.

I had the bánh mì xìu mai (Vietnamese style meatballs), which was a nice foray into Vietnamese meatballs. I enjoyed them because they were flavorful and savory against the veggies. The cucumbers are fresh and not pickled, though I prefer the veggies pickled. That’s just personal preference, though, since traditionally the cucumbers aren’t pickled in bánh mì.

There are no fish selections for the bánh mì (anchovies, sardines, etc.), so don’t expect those. Patrons will need to ask for fish sauce, which is brought from the back in a to-go ramekin.

As Vietnamese restaurants usually go, it’s a casual, inexpensive pick. We both decided we’d be back and that it would be a good to-go option.

There are no stairs into the venue and wheelchair users will have no issues at this establishment, including the restroom.

Great hole in the wall. Coda bakery is a great place, Leona is a small place with great variety. The pho is good. The sandwiches are great. Drinks are tasty. A great place to stop and try if you are in the area.

Counter service was good and friendly, but no check-in once seated. Maybe it's just not that type of place? I liked that it was much quieter and more chill vibes than Pho Nho. Though otherwise has a very basic and functional, but kind of sad interior. The grilled pork Bun bowl I ordered unfortunately left a lot to be desired. Not their forte or namesake, I know, but should still be decent. Noodles were undercooked and tough, grilled pork overcooked and tough, and the veggie egg rolls were soft, mushy, and bland. They kindly made another batch for me when I mentioned it and said they fried them more thoroughly, but they were the same. Maybe to some people's taste, but veg egg rolls can be so much better! I may be back to try the Banh Mi, but definitely won't be getting Bun here ever again. Worst Vietnamese vermicelli bowl I've had in Albuquerque, and I've had many.
