One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Albuquerque.but they don't read I order the De Marcus and it comes with a cheese enchilada so I ask for a meat enchilada instead of the cheese enchilada and they still bring me a cheese enchilada ugh. And no I dined in.

The green chili is amazing. My wife did the burrito with shredded beef with green chili. I did the ground beef enchiladas with the green chili. Both were amazing!!!!

Took my daughter there for her birthday the end of July charged my card it clears, then just 2 days ago it charges my card again. So they have charged my card twice a won’t give me my money back they gave me a hard time I’ve showed them proof but they still want more. I’m done with this place food is good the service sucks an so does the owner of this company. Greedy people. Don’t use your card here!

Wow, this restaurant has really gone downhill. Although our waitress worked very hard and provided good service, the only thing that tasted good was the salsa.
The tortilla chips are different than they used to serve. They were obviously store-bought, but they tasted okay. I ordered the Ranchero Skillet, which is cheese enchiladas, fried potatoes, and re-fried beans. I asked to upgrade the enchiladas to (ground) beef. Instead of getting beef enchiladas, I got cheese enchiladas with taco meat on the side. Strike 1.
Next, there was very little red chile on the plate. In fact, there was just a little on the enchiladas, and none on the ground beef, potatoes, or beans. I've always asked for more on the side, but since my wife gets hers on the side I just used some of her chile. The chile was very watery and had absolutely no flavor. Strike 2.
The re-fried beans were pretty awful as well. They were smoother with cheese in an obvious attempt to give them some flavor. And it was obvious the beans were from a can. Yuck. Strike 3. You're out!
As a bonus, the dish was served with 2 little tortillas that were served wrapped in foil. They were obviously store-bought, as they were very thin, and they were microwaved. The tortillas were difficult to bite through, hard and rubbery. I didn't bother to eat them.
Just FYI, Los Cuates used to have awesome red chile. And they rolled their tortillas daily and served them fresh. The restaurant only had a few tables going yesterday, and now I know why.
Food was not great. Service was OK. I don't think we'll be back.

Our family has a tradition that whenever a family member returns from a trip, our first stop is Los Cuates to get some good food and some tasty green chile! This is a restaurant that has been the place for many of our family gatherings over the years. Good prices, good food and good service.
