We wanted to get a bite to eat here but this place isnt listed as an option on the hotels website. Other restaurants were listed but not this one.

Always our go to restaurant before a show at the Kiva. Fast service and good food. We would enjoy more selection in their menu, which actually used to seem bigger and more reasonable prices.

10-3-2024 no vegan options on the menu. can remove non vegan ingredients, but I didn't stick around for that.

The food was wonderful. The salads were fresh and bright tasting. A good wine selection in beautiful wine glasses. Our server took care of all of our needs. At the end of the evening the manager, whose name was KICKER walked our friend outside to catch an Uber to make sure she was safe. He was so kind and caring. Every restaurant needs someone like him working there.

Pros: The service was great! Genuine and helpful. The server even recommended some wines not on the wine list, and the recommendation was spot on. I felt so special because she went out of her way to track down a bottle for me. Really well done. The food was decent value. We had 4 tapas for two people, and that was more than enough. The sauces were awesome. It's very rare that I highlight a sauce at a restaurant, but the patatas bravas and the bacon wrapped dates both had great sauces. I enjoyed the croquettes. My husband did not. Cons: The atmosphere is so drab. It's like Hotel Andaluz hired people who predominately decorate airport lounges to decorate their restaurant. The hotel is beautiful with lots of character, and the restaurant has chartreuse lighting with gray accents and walls. It has the impact of making people look ill. Like, why? There is an odd use of glass, too. And strange pops of color. I love pops of color, but these are poorly done. This is the first time I've been here in over a decade, and I recall it being more sophisticated. But now, not so much. Just ugly as can be. Overall, we would probably go back because of the food and service. But because I like a great atmosphere for dates, it might be edged out by lots of other places that better balance the vibes.

Usually, this is a pleasant restaurant. On this visit, there was a cleaning crew polishing the floor so it was noisy and a bit disruptive. The kitchen didn't have bacon for the breakfast dishes. Other than those issues, it was a good meal.

The food is always great at MAS. The menu has changed and there are less tapas than before. Still good food. I was there with a friend and we both ordered dinners, since there weren't that many tapas options. My friend's dinner came and mine didn't. It was awkward. I told her to eat and just sat there and waited. Finally got a server's attention and found out they overcooked mine, so had to remake. My friend was almost finished when my food came. It was very good, at least, and they did give us each a free drink.

The duck emapandas were amazing! Unfortunately the main draw for me were the cazbahs in the lobby and they are remodeling to remove most or all of them (no one seemed to know which for sure). These were such unique, beautiful and private spaces in all of the city. It is a real loss.

Went there for lunch and it was
So good I ordered an extra entree to take home. The shrimp appetizer and the salmon and orzo entree were to die for. I will Definitely be going back soon! Also the wait staff was so kind and
The kitchen quite talented and efficient. So nice to have such good service and amazing food!

Dietary restrictions: Plenty of choices for gluten, dairy, and vegetarian restrictions. Appreciated that!

Parking: Not familiar enough w the location to know where to go to park.

WOW!

My wife and I met family for some Saturday what I thought was going to be a light fare. When we ate Tapas in Madrid, they were very small, and not much to them.

I was completely surprised by the American "sized" tapas served by MAS TyV. We ordered several Tapas and Paella and were not disappointed in any of the features.
Jamon Croquettes were to die for. The filling was very flavorful and the crunch coating gave the Croquettes a nice punch.

The sauce served with them was a goatcheese creamy deliciousness and the bacon wrapped dates were filled with a warm almond and a honey drizzle. The chef did a beautiful job on these as well.
The empanadas de carné adovada, garlic shrimp with chorizo, and garlic crunchy were also quite delicious.

My recommendation is a 5 star out of 5 due to very attentive staff, a personal visit from manager and a chef delivery of our food.
Albuquerque restaurants fould learn for this wonderful, affordable and delicious restaurant.

No pictures were taken to ruin the evening...lol.

We've eaten at Mas Tapas many times and the food was always outstanding. Server Austin did a great job and the bacon wrapped dates were scrumptious. The special shrimp appetizer was pretty good as was the mixed bread, cheese, olives, nuts. But the killer was the Paella. Worst paella we've ever had. Not made with Saffron as it should have been but instead with tomatoes and hot red peppers. It was like Mexican rice but really really hot peppery. With a few mussels and shrimp. The management really should check on this chef. Not good.

Too spicy, if you’re looking for Spanish food this is not right restaurant, I’m from Barcelona, Spain. Never the paella is spicy.

Overated and pricey. Ordered tapas which were unimaginative: cheese with honey on bread, potatoes on bread. Where's the head chef? A cup of iced tea was $4. What? And service was slow, meal was done before cup of tea ever arrived.

We had the paella and empanadas at Mas. It is hard to find paella in Albuquerque let alone good paella. Mas was good but nothing crazy to go out of your way for unless you really want descent paella. Empanadas were delicious and I’d definitely want to try more of their other tapas!
