Salsa and chips were very good. I ordered a combination plate and the only edible items were the enchilada and rice. Chile was mild. Sopapillas were very good. Do not order rellenos, batter too thick and not much cheese. Tamale was hardly edible, no flavor.

El Mariachi is the real deal. The food is packed with flavor and feels like it was made with care — every bite was incredible. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. It’s the kind of spot you want to come back to again and again. Highly recommend if you’re craving great food and quiet vibes.

Our first time visiting today and we can't wait to go back! The Carne Adovada is the best I've had in 8 years of living in Albuquerque. It's a small, family owned restaurant and they sure know what they're doing... all three of us loved our breakfasts.

This was by far the worse food I’ve ever had. I was so excited to try it, I walked in to place my order, paid $34.00 plus $7 tip. I ordered carne asada with a shredded beef enchilada, rice and beans. What we got was a flour tortilla with some dry shredded beef with tons of melted cheese. No sauce, no salsa, there was maybe two tablespoons of very dried out rice, beans that probably came out of a can. I also ordered a chimichanga…again same dried out shredded beef with no taste at all, please trust me….this was the worse food I’ve ever had, we couldn’t even give it to our dogs.
I asked the young man as I walked out with my food if there was salsa in the bag he said “yes”NOPE NO SALSA NO CHIPS 👎

The food was terrible . Way to salty. And the meat in the carne burritos was a mix of hamburger and mystery meat. The server was an elderly lady. Very sweet But food wise. I do not recommend
The owner is so sweet. A National Treasure! The coffee is excellent and when you run low, she'll take away your cup, dump the cooled off liquid and bring a new cup, dripping a couple of drops here and there. The sopapillas are fresh and HOT! AND, they are served with REAL honey. The food is better than your mother made!

Horrible service. If you want to feel unwelcomed and uncomfortable, come here. The old lady needs to retire if she’s that unhappy. This place is definitely not kid friendly! As they had to tear apart their plant/flower display, to provide an antique high chair for our toddler. We were rushed to order and when we did make our selections, heavy sighing and “Jesus christs” were the only response muttered from the old lady. Salsa and chips were mediocre at best.
