The pizza was hot and fresh, and very delicious. No complaints when it comes to the food whatsoever. However, the service was poor during my visit. Now, I’ll preface by saying that they were very busy when I picked up my takeout order, but the girl running the register was very rude and was clearly letting whatever was frustrating her effect her attitude towards customers. I even heard other customers talking about how rude she was and her coworkers didn’t seem too pleased to interact with her.
Aside from the poor service, I would still recommend this place to others giving them the benefit of the doubt that it may have been an off night as it was my one and only visit. My family and I definitely enjoyed the food, and ultimately that’s what mattered to us.
The kid’s spaghetti was good and our daughter ate every bite. We got a half Hawaiian pizza and half pepperoni and loved every bite! Will be returning for the food and to give the service experience another shot.

They were a little late on their timeframe for the order, but otherwise a great visit.

I ordered take out. It was the best calzone in all of Albuquerque

Absolutely delicious, for all ages -- adults and kids. We just had dinner delivered to our home, and the food was cooked to perfection, the recipes were amazing, and this restaurant is now our top go-to when we want Italian food! When a picky toddler eats enthusiastically and for the first time insists that her leftovers be saved for later, AND similarly picky adults inhale their dinner, there can be no higher praise! The taste reminded me, an "old fogey," of how restaurant food USED to taste... the old deliciousness that has been lost in most places. If you want that sense of being lavished on with love through food... try this place!

Haven't been here for a while. Food was outstanding. My wife had manicotti she ate the whole thing unusual for her she's tiny. I had Pizza it was really good. Grandkids loved it. The waitress made our evening she was exceptionally nice and efficient. Will be back.

The building is cute, service not so much. I went in on a Thursday night and ordered a tiramasu to-go. There was 3 seated tables and a few people picking up to go orders. I waited 20 minutes for my order. I finally had to get up and ask for it and I was told the kitchen was backed up. I reminded the worker I had a dessert and it was apparent that she completely forgot. She was not rude, but it was frustrating to sit and wait then be completely forgotten. I had already paid and tipped.

I usually love Mario's. But this visit was so disappointing. The pizza was soggy, the spin dip had no flavor and the service was ehh at best.

I order delivery from here, and I think the thin pizza is really good. Also, that giant slice of chocolate cake !!

Mario’s Chopped Salad was super delicious!! Had the garlic knots that were freshly made and drizzled with garlic butter!! 26 inch pizza was more than enough for our party of 7! Family approved!!

I ordered a pizza and side for carry out. I got the pizza, went home, put it on my stove, opened it, and a cockroach was running across the pizza. I went to grab my phone for a video and as I came back the cockroach ran out of the pizza box and went down into my oven.

I called Mario’s and they were rude about it and refused to give me a refund, even after telling them I still had all of the food untouched and would return it. Their reason was that they open the box and show me the pizza before carrying it out of the location. First, the cashier flashed the lid up and down without even turning the box towards me or looking at it herself, so how am I supposed to see if there’s a cockroach running around in the box? Second, if your excuse for not offering a refund or at the very least apologizing is because the cashier flashes the box open for a second, maybe that’s why they do it and some actual accountability is needed here. From being in food service myself, the lack of shock and reaction from the staff is telling enough. I’m calling the city of Albuquerque on Monday to discuss this with the health department and recommend a visit from an inspector.

To have a fully grown cockroach crawling around my pizza and enter my home is disgusting. To be rude and deny this even being a possibility when I call and inform them about it is another level of unacceptable. To refuse a refund even though all of the food is untouched and I called within an hour of pick up is why I am creating this review. I could easily call my bank and ask for a chargeback because of this, but I haven’t. It’s not about the $40 at this point.

I hope being rude and refusing to refund $40 was worth the review and continued outreach I’ll be doing to the city health department and also telling the people of Albuquerque to never ever visit Mario’s pizza. My visit was 03/04/25.
