Went to Monte Vista last night and sat there for 20-30 minutes while the bartender chatted up his friends. He never came over to take our order so we left and had great service and food at Two Fools. The bar service at Monte Vista is TERRIBLE. Not the first time this happened. It’s a shame because I really liked going there and enjoying the live music.

Said they’re open till 2am. Turned away my fiancé and I at a quarter till 1am. It looked like a great spot. Would’ve loved to experience it.

The Monte Vista Fire station has been acquired by Heritage Hotels and has reopened with original name. Chef Chacon of Wowza burger is serving up elevated bar fare and brunch food.

New waitress told my friend and I there was a burger special for $9, so we both ordered. Bill came, and the price was $19. Manager refused to comp us because of her mistake, only deducted 1.90. Never going

food is epic. bartenders and servers awesome. if you don't want to hang with the older crowd downstairs you can make your way to the upper floor and enjoy the view and fireplace and of course the party

Avoid this place at all costs for serving non alcoholic drinks to customers that order alcoholic drinks. I had ordered a lemon drop in the past and the bartender stated: "You got it boss!" and brought a drink to my table. The drink tasted like lemonade with absolutely ZERO alcohol in it. I even asked my friends to taste test it and they all confirmed there was no alcohol in it.The worst part was that I was still served full price and even tipped the bartender for the shot of pure lemonade. One day, I thought I would give this place another shot (no pun intended) and ordered a cranberry vodka from a different bartender. The same problem reoccurred. The drink tasted like pure cranberry juice with not a single drop of vodka. I was again charged full price for the drink and tipped the bartender. It is unclear why they do this, my theory is that they want to maximize profits by serving customers drinks without alcohol, because alcohol costs more than juice. I have never been this offended in my entire life by a restaurant and I caution anyone ordering drinks at this disingenuous restaurant. They are notorious for serving drinks with ZERO alcohol.

I've patronized Monte Vista for quite some time now. I visited this past Saturday and every aspect of the experience was terrible. My party waited 20+ minutes for any sort of service. Once the server arrived at our table to take our order, they interrupted and said they were going to get a piece of paper (totally understandable). After returning to our table 10 minutes later, the server insisted we write down our own orders. Wait time for food, drinks, and service were far too long given the fact the place was nearly empty. When we finally attempted to leave, our party was forced to go to the register at the bar to cash out as table service was non-existent. At that point the coked out frat boy working the bar couldn't mentally process separating the tab. My whole party was then forced to write down our order an additional time. While we were standing at the register we had a great view into the kitchen. It doesn't appear there is any attention to food safety practices, several kitchen staff were snacking with food prep gloves still on. My friend noted he saw a kitchen worker eating food off the floor. I hate to say it, but that will be my last visit. I would proceed with caution before you visit.

Went there over the weekend with my dad. The bar tender (Jackson) was our server. He was very grumpy the entire time and somewhat rude and argumentative when we talked to him. I spoke with management over the phone regarding the bad experience and he did not care much either. He told me this is petty and not worth reporting and it is totally acceptable to be grumpy as a bartender. He also seemed not to care about customer service or the overall experience of a customer. Overall, I've had a poor experience and i'm not sure if I would ever come back to this place again.

Parking is challenging. Food wasn't that great. They were short staffed on a Friday night with live music, which is puzzling, so drink service was slow. Music was good!

Restaurant bar in nob hill area of Albuquerque with live blues on Wednesday evening. Place has a small town feel and crowd Wed night was middle aged. A rare treat to find live blues in this area so we were quite grateful to find it. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
