Of all the Japanese restaurants in Albuquerque this reminds me the most of being in Japan. I usually come to have a bento box at lunch, and they are excellent - as good as any I had in Tokyo or Osaka.
If you're looking for a japanese restaurant run by actual japanese people, this is the spot. The sushi was good, I will say japanese ramen is normally salty, thats the japanese way.. but, I think they've toned it down for Americans. I got the nagomi ramen and had very high hopes as tonkotsu miso is my favorite, but it was rather bland, it had broccoli in it which totally sapped all the meaty flavor you should get. My wife got the curry ramen which was tasty but once...
Unassuming sushi restaurant with delicious, fresh fish. Prices are reasonable, especially in this climate.
We ordered the snapper carpaccio, chirashi, and seafood udon. Everything was delicious and our server was fantastic!
Only downside is the restaurant is very warm inside, but just ask for an iced water/tea and you'll be good.
