This is the most (and probably only) authentic Japanese restaurant in Albuquerque/New Mexico. Santa Fe has Izanami but even their menu is a bit trendy and Americanized. Nagomi is not trendy, it’s a bit of a hole in the wall, and it’s also not the best Japanese food I have ever had, but it scratches that itch for home-style Japanese cooking and at quite a fair value.
