Shocking Last-Minute Betrayal
New Mex-A-Que has served at our events in the past with exemplary customer service, not to mention awesome BBQ. Their food truck was always one of the crowd favorites. Everything seemed to be going right for this unique BBQ on wheels. Then the business changed hands and their priority for great customer service apparently disappeared.
We booked them in February for a September event. They confirmed via email, but refused a deposit due to our past working relationship. Several weeks prior to our event we reached out to check in and firm up the menu. After no response to emails, phone messages and texts from the owner, we immediately called the previous owner who finally got back to us almost two weeks later at 4:52 PM, the night before our event. He messaged that the new owner had double-booked and they would not be serving BBQ for our guests. To clarify, that is a 100% cancellation notice only 16 hours before the start of our event.
We’ve hosted and orchestrated a variety of special events for over 40 years and we are extremely well-versed on what it takes to prepare from both the planning side and the catering side. Completely abandoning a client at the very last minute is beyond unacceptable, especially when that client is depending on your food services for hundreds of attendees.
At the very least New Mex-A-Que could have notified us at the time of double booking. At the very most, they could have offered some type of restitution for their last-minute cancellation. Instead, we got nothing except a meaningless commitment, and of course, no BBQ.
It is always tragic to directly witness a once-trustworthy local company throw their entire reputation away. If you’re considering booking this business, please use extreme caution based on a propensity for dishonorably breaching obligations and unscrupulous customer relations.

Man o man do I love a Cubano. These guys delivered. I'm always on the hunt for a great Cubano and this one definitely hit all the notes.
The chicharron tacos or also very delicious.
Not a big fan of potato salad or coleslaw but they were decent.
Sitting outside of our favorite brewery is definitely a plus.
I would definitely eat again I would recommend it to a friend
On another note the chips hit on a different level The red chili kettle chips are absolutely fantastic

Amazing brisket, maybe the best I have found outside of Central Texas. The adovada frito pie was absolutely incredible. The brisket-topped burger and birria french dip were also highly recommended by other diners. Just wonderful!

My wife and I wanted to grab a bite at NewMex-A-Que food truck one night while we were food hunting. We spotted them parked outside bow and arrow brewery. We ordered Grilled cheese with carne and let me just say, the best food you'll ever try flavor wise. It'll leave your mouth watering wanting more because the taste and flavor is just so delicious! I also ordered brisket and it's cooked by two of the best 5 star people in the Albuquerque food truck industry! Support them because they are bringing quality food you will not be disappointed! Service was great, they have a great atmosphere, and always in a good mood which is contagious! My kind of spot to get food! Check out their menu for more choices or food! Wow! We had the brisket tacos, smoked carne adovada frito pie, and creamy coleslaw. The quality of food and service put out by this food truck is outstanding! We're so glad we gave them a try, now we know! So much to rave about!

So good, had the brisket birria French dip and it was the best french dip I have ever had. Excellent potato salad too!! New Mexican and barbecue food together… best combination that ever existed!!!!
