Nexus Blue Smokehouse

First time trying Nexus Blue. Ordered the Sampler and had it delivered to our house. We're from Kansas City and big fans of really good BBQ. This is the best BBQ in ABQ in our opinion. The sauce is too Carolina vineager for us but other than that, the food is great.

I ❤️ this place! I have been here a few times. I get the fries smothered with cheese burnt ends and green chile. So good with a cold beer.

Worst experience I've had in a while. Door dash wouldn't work. I than proceeded to call the store 6 different times to get no answer or response. Finally I placed my order online and paid. After driving all the way across town I was told they ran out of what I ordered. A simple call to inform me would have been the professional thing to do but I guess that was too hard as they preferred to still make a sale assuming I would just switch my order and accept a less expensive option for the same price. I was than given attitude as my card was refunded and I received no food

Had a fabulous meal. The beers were great, the menu selection is amazing it made it hard to choose, and the food was ultimate comfort food. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We will not hesitate to stop in again the next time we are in ABQ.

Dietary restrictions: Decent selection of gluten free options and our Celiac teen did not get sick.

Kid-friendliness: Have a kid menu with delicious options, as well as coloring sheet.

AMAZING food. We purchased a sampler plate that fed 2 adults and 4 children with a full box of take home left overs. It's the best barbecue I've tasted in Albuquerque. Also, we got to enjoy listening to a wonderful local band, Stirred Not Shaken. I highly recommend eating here.

Great welcome from Uncle Johnny, who hooked us up with a low table versus a high top. Great food and more than we could eat. Great service. No wait! Would definitely go back. Burnt ends and ribs were phenomenal. Mac and cheese was good. Beans of all types were good. Just yum.

Parking: Easy to park with plenty of spots.

Kid-friendliness: Super friendly, my kid had no problem finding food to eat and loved the place!

Very expensive for underwhelming bbq. Ordered the Enterprise...
meat was very bland, came out luke warm they did heat it up but then left the coleslaw off...maybe that's what made it get cold?!?This is usually why I don't eat where I drink! The bartender was super cool though, I think his name was Anthony! Bar area is also cool. Website bragged about the food but definitely did not live up to it.

Loved it the first time we visited. Ordered the same things, but takeout this time. Fried pickles were extremely soggy, potato salad was too vinegary. Burnt ends were ok, as was pulled pork sandwich. Ordered a pint of macncheese, got 2. Was charged, didn't notice till I got home.

Brisket was a 10/10, best brisket I’ve tasted. Smoked chicken 7/10. Baked beans 9/10.
Pulled pork sandwich 8/10, could do without the pickled onions/cabbage.
Fried pickles 5/10, just okay.
Very picky about our BBQ, we were impressed.

Atmosphere and service were fantastic. Beer is exactly as expected from Nexus. Some of the food was amazing, pulled pork, brisket, sausage, fries, and mac and cheese. Yum!! And both types of bbq sauce were amazing. Some food was not up to par: chicken was really dry, and fried pickles were too thin and lost all pickle flavor.
