Go purchase your dinner from the freezer section at the grocery store, because that's all this place does. The food was flavorless except for the taste of freezer, the vegetables were so bland and frozen for so long that the greens had grey color to it, the burger patty was definitely frozen, and the green chile tasted of bell peppers. I asked if the food was made fresh and the server laughed and said "not here". I paid for my food, tipped the server for her time, and ate elsewhere. Make sure you read the reviews to see how poor the food quality is. Anyone giving this place more than 2 stars most likely collects Social Security and doesn't have much of their palette left (this place is for old people that can't have flavor).

Food was great, shakes always great as well, we love owls but the waitress was rude, we thought it she maybe was just having a bad day but it was off putting and we heard her complaining about her tip when we left- even the Cashier tried to step in to help and i saw the waitress shoo her off- as someone who has been to owls for about 15 years it was my only bad experience there. We will of course be back but maybe for a to go order

Ordered online and when I arrived they didn't even start my order. I placed the order 10 mins ago. When I asked how long the manager was very rude and didn't even know the order was placed. I ended up cancelling and leaving. Not a great atmosphere and very bad attitudes. Will not be going again

Dietary restrictions: Had to stop and check out this place. It has a owl in top of the building. Ate lunch, the green chili cheese burger was delicious. Kid friendly, with a good size options. I'll be back soon.

The owl cafe has no business charging as much as they do for food. I thought diner food was supposed to be inexpensive?
Also was not a very positive experience. It took forever for our food to come.

The Owl Cafe is iconic for New Mexican food. It has recently been sold but the new owners are trying to maintain its traditions. They have a nice enclosed patio where you can bring your dog and enjoy some great breakfast specials. Famous for the green chile cheeseburgers.

I used to enjoy this place and come almost once a month, I came here with a friend, spent $14 and tipped $3. My friend had a smaller bill and tipped the similarly. When paying the bill the waitress tried to scold us and make us feel bad for the lack of tip. We waited over 30 minutes for food, didn’t order anything special and still decided to tip. However I guess it wasn’t enough or at least not meeting your standards? I’m not sure what this issue was or why an adult felt compelled to say “wow really that’s it? Of course that’s it, ugh whatever”. I’m disappointed as someone who also works in food service, and is a college student. I thought it was a nice safe place, but was sorely mistaken. I used to recommend people to eat here , but won’t be endorsing this place anymore. I guess my money wasn’t good enough or something or they were expecting me to tip $5 on a $14 bill? Regardless to talk to someone like that is classless, either pay your workers more or respect the paying customers who wanted frito pie after rollerskating. (We can always go and support another local place <3)

Horrible food in spite of new management. Dry burger, asked for mustard, received none. Green chile is not good. Ordered a cherry shake, which turned out to be chocolate and vanilla with a maraschino cherry- and no cherry flavor. Won't order from them or go in person ever again.
