It's a pretty place, has good vibes but didn't stay long because they're out of sushi! What sushi bar runs out of sushi??

This was my go restaurant for over 20 years with the prior ownership and service staff. Now, I will not recommend this place or take my worst enemy, ever. The new ownership and staff are rude, unprofessional, turn away business because they are out of food, really, out of food! Additionally their food quality lacks flavor and is poor quality. I am telling all my friends, family and aquantinces to go elsewhere. So sad to see such a great place with tons of great memories and food experiences to fall apart under a new regime.

On Friday 20 of February 2026. We waited from 545pm to 7pm to get survived. At 550pm my family placed there orders. Two tables that were seated after my family and were served before us. When the waitresswas asked what was taking so long for four sushi roles and one appetizer. The waitress was rude to us and said it’s because the otheir people ordered from the kitchen. My family was so hungry they eat everything in 5 minutes. Then we had to wait a another 25 minutes for our 70.00 bill. Our once a month family dinner night was ruined and we left the restaurant 100% dissatisfied.

The end of an era. Been coming here for over a decade. Almost weekly to get my favorite dish and see my favorite servers. Hadn't been here since late summer because my favorite dish became hit or miss with quality and consistency in taste. It was only done right when one of my favorite servers were working. The portion size kept getting smaller and the price higher. I'm sitting here right now. My fave dish has been reduced to an appetizer. My fave servers no longer work here. The new servers are nice but I've been waiting 30 minutes for two basic sushi rolls. This may be the last run. The new owners have ruined the food and the heart. I get prices have gone up but...I came for an experience that no longer exists.

I am pretty sure they are short staffed still, so everything takes a little longer. But this is still one of my favorite places to eat. Everything is so delicious and the staff is always very friendly.

We wanted sushi, not much choice. We ordered 3 rolls, the spider roll had very little crab meat and a lot of tempura. The yellow tail tuna was a lot of rice and a little tuna, same with the 3 Amigos. Not much taste.
It took us 3 tries to find a beer we wanted that they weren't out of. When I spilled my beer she really didn't pay much attention. I asked for a couple more napkins because I used mine to wipe up the spill. The dirty napkins stayed on the table the whole time. Won't be coming back, for sushi anyway. We should have known when we were the only ones there at 5:30...

Had seen this place many times but had never tried it. I was in town with friends from the comicon and we decided to try something we haven't been to yet and picked here. The food was great, the menu had a lot of selection of rolls to traditional dishes. Our waitress was friendly and was very helpful with my niece who's still in here picky phase. The inside has a very cool tiki lounge atmosphere. I will definitely go back again.

4/5 ⭐️
The food and service were good, but the reason for 4 stars is that there was only one employee handling everything—taking orders, preparing food, and serving. I feel like having additional staff would really help things run more efficiently & smoothly to help improve the overall experience.
Great for lunch! Everything is so good! Prices aren't bad either

I reluctantly decided to post a review. This used to be my family's favorite restaurant, as it reminded us of home. We used to love the food, the atmosphere, and the service. Not that we come here super often, but often enough. Well, we decided to dine in for lunch the week of Thanksgiving. They changed their menu and recipes... which I understand that some restaurants, at times, must consider doing. They no longer use fresh fruit, instead use canned fruit, and some of the dishes don't taste as good as they used to. They no longer offer soup/salad once you are seated. The changes and not for the better were disheartening. The balance of flavors were off. We ordered Honey Sesame Shrimp which is now an appetizer, and the shrimp was not perfectly crisp and large and tasty as the entree they once had. Gyoza and sushi seemed the same as before. The ginger over powered the Ramen we ordered. The Sticky Rice, my son's favorite dessert, no longer used fresh mango, and they put crunchy coconut flakes in the rice, which was not a good change (in my opinion). When the waitress brought some of the food out, I was surprised and said, "You don't use fresh fruit anymore?" Keep in mind, I don't penalize waiters for food/menu they are not responsible for, but she immediately got defensive and was very short with me. I later mentioned that the food wasn't as good as it used to be. She had walked away and said over her shoulder "sorry." She continued to be short with me, walking away in the middle of me speaking to her, I even asked if I said something that is causing her to be short with me, she said all I've done was complain. She had walked away and said over her shoulder "sorry." I later asked to speak with the manager, who wasn't there, and when I asked when he will be in so I could speak with him, the response was "I don't know," or "maybe he'll be in." At a certain point, she did disclose that a number of customers have complained about the food and she said something about the cost of food or cutting back (something like that) so they changed things. (Sorry, but that's where you don't forfeit quality and definitely not service.) When it was time to pay, she took my card, ran it, I asked for a pen so I could sign, and then walked away, I said, "don't you want me to pay?" She kept walking away and said no that's ok. (I was still charged btw, which I was glad to pay, but never signed.) I waited for awhile, and then we left. I asked again when the manager would be in, and got the same response. I didn't call to speak to the manager, it wasn't worth it for me, but it's disheartening to know their quality of food and service (from this waitress) has changed for the worse. We've always had wonderful service here, people who actually enjoyed serving here. I have never experienced this type of service before. Just wanted to share my experience.

Been eating here for over a decade. Food has always been good. Over last 6 months there has been an extreme drop in quality of service. I heard maybe new management?
Ordered take out from here for the first time since I was craving pineapple fried rice and found it pretty disappointing.
We called it in and I showed up 30 minutes later to get it, the whole order wasn’t ready yet so they brought out what was and then I proceeded to wait.
20 minutes later our sushi was ready.
By the time I got home <10 minutes later the food was cold; but who knows how long the warm food was already at that point.
The rice itself was underwhelming; minimal veggies and pineapple in it.
Needless to say this will be a first and last experience here.
Great experience! Friendly staff and a very cozy vibe.

Reliably good food and service. Great hot and sour soup, tempura, and sushi! The menu is vast though, so prepare to be tempted... a lot!
