Food was ok, but certainly not an almost 45 minute wait. Asked the server for an extra order of chips and salsa, never received it. Went in and seated just after one pm yesterday. Didn’t receive our food until after 2. More efficient for delivery. Restaurant was packed and loud music. Also seated next to louder toddler. Sensory overload for sure. And I was up since very early. That didn’t help. Won’t be back unless someone is treating me and if it is not my choice. It was way worse service than in a small town. Usually Abq is pretty good on service.

We've been here once before a few years ago but don't make it to the NE side of town often until today and let me just say, it's about consistency, cleanliness, service and deliciousness for me and Papa Felipe's is just as delicious as I remember! Portions are large (so I have enough for lunch the next day), our waitress greated and served us with a smile and was so sweet, and I love the atmosphere! I ordered the chicken burrito dinner and I always worry about the chicken tasting bland or like mop water....Not here! It was moist and full of flavor and when they say the chile is hot, they aren't messing around...its hot but also full of flavor! Also, the sopapillas ....heavenly and made perfectly and chips/salsa came out fresh and chips were warm! Thank you Papa Felipe for the delicious meal!
Great quality & value... they don't nickle & dime you... as a NM native I can say some of the best Mex food in ABQ... plus gr8 margaritas & very cold beer!

Service can be a little slow.They do serve alcohol. I am not a fan of the fish taco's as it is breaded fish they use. The heat of the red and green Chile is pretty consistent. Good sopapillas and chips and salsa. Most of their dishes are above average in traditional New Mexican fare. They understand the nuance' s of Mexican versus New Mexican. Hatch Chili not poblanos are used for their rellenos.
Ordered 2 dozen sopas to go. Everything was perfect, friendly staff inside, good containers and of course delicious sopas.

The old Hostess walk around mad. The beef enchiladas had potatoes in it. Why? I was born and raised in Albuquerque. After the meal we were bloated even though we took most of our food home. Must've been the fillers in the meat.No Veteran's discount like the other owner had. The waitress was nice but almost shorted me a enchilada for 14.99 a plate. Papa Felipe's was better with previous owner. They greeted customers with a ? smile.
