Today was not their best. Server was not their best. I love going here because you usually get outstanding service. I was told they would not fry their shrimp in flour. They use to. I've been eating at Papadeaux since the 80s in Houston and 2001 in Albuquerque.
Spent Mardi Gras lunch, and everything was perfect! Had my go-to blackened half chicken (on the menu its grilled half, but I always request blackened) and as always, regardless of where in the country I've had it, it was amazing. Subbed dirty rice which was really good, and the garlic bread which had great flavor and a touch of spice! Other things I've had are the Gator (I ask for it blackened), the blackened redfish, andouillie and seafood gumbo, and the BBQ shrimp,...
Great food and awesome service. Certainly not cheap but that's as close as you are going to get to Louisiana food without actually going there. I'll be back eventually when I crave some of that good old New Orleans food.
