My buddy and I ended up going to Prismatic Coffee because the coffee shop next to our hotel was closed, and I'm so glad! It's a very clean third-wave coffee shop with a bright and modern atmosphere, and stellar coffee. Not only was Sasha, our barista, friendly and very fun to talk to, she also knows her coffee, and makes a top notch pourover with ease. I visited some other third-wave coffee shops this week between here and Washington State, and this is the best pourover...
Surprisingly fantastic. ABQ seems to have been a late bloomer in the third wave scene, but this place was well worth the wait. Best coffee along I-40 between Los Angeles and Oklahoma City.
On a road trip from Denver to Phoenix. This craft coffee is close to the highway and completely worth the short detour for those who appreciate high quality beans with an artful experience. If you want a sugary drink to fit the mold of a franchise, look elsewhere. When I look for a coffee, I want fresh, single origin beans, roasted to enhance the flavor profile. Prismatic Coffee did not disappoint, and I’ll be back next time we are in the area.
