Stopped at Indian Pueblo Kitchen in Albuquerque for lunch and ordered an Indian taco. It took an hour and a half to get my food, which was surprising since the restaurant wasn’t busy. When it finally arrived, it was just “okay” tasted like a mix of ingredients with little flavor, even with the added chilies. Definitely could use more spice. Other tables seemed to be experiencing the same long wait.

I am in town for work and wanted authentic food! After a quick Google search I was informed that there is a restaurant inside the museum that has delicious food and decided to check in! I highly recommend. I did visit on National Indigenous Day so I had to wait about an hour for a table but so worth it. I was adventurous and got the kool-aid fried pickles, a New Mexican soda and the blue corn enchiladas! Delicious!

The Indian Pueblo Kitchen is connected to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Community Center. The restaurant deserves the high ratings, and it was a privilege to taste the Pueblan inspired dishes.

We started with the Fried Kool Aid Pickles which were both unique and addictive. I had the Taste of the Pueblos dish which came with three stews (green chili pork, red chili beef, and vegetable) and breads. Although all three stews were good, the red chili beef stew was my favorite of the three. My spouse chose the Indian Taco. The food was fantastic and the portions were generous. I ordered a Zia Sandia Watermelon soda to drink which was also fantastic.

We came at noon, and although the restaurant was busy, we were seated immediately. We noticed that there was a waiting line when we left an hour later.

We stopped in for lunch as a break in our time at the Cultural Center. However. There is a separate entrance for the public who are not visiting the Cultural Center.

There is a large parking lot behind the Cultural Center.

Do you want to be full for the whole day? Do you want a breakfast burrito the size of a forearm? Do you want blue pancakes? Definitely give this place a look! It’s a fun time. The food is really good and we didn’t have to wait!

We were here for 2 hours waiting for our food while others were sat after us and served and left before us. Maria was a terrible server. I saw other servers on top of things and Maria spent her time talking to her coworkers. Food was decent but make sure to request another server to ensure you don’t spend your entire afternoon waiting for lunch.

We had lunch here with a group of 8. Portions were pretty large, several couples discovered they would have preferred to share a meal rather than having leftovers. The foowas very good.

Stopped by the Airport location before my flight and was greeted by April and Cynthia. Talk about starting the day off right! Both were super friendly and made me feel like a regular. You can tell they love what they do and take pride in making sure everyone leaves in a good mood. Thanks for the conversations and hospitality !!

As my first ever trip to Albuquerque, I was eager to visit the Pueblo Indian Kitchen and it was absolutely a highlight of the trip. Mark was our server and he was very patient in helping us decide on meals and giving details to ensure we got the best possible meals. As if that weren’t enough, the food exceeded every expectation! I had the Pueblo Taco which was delicious and the fry bread was exceptional. The Prime Rib Fry Bread Dip was perfectly prepared and as delicious as any beef dish could get. We got the Bread Pudding desert to share which was so good I forgot to take a photo until it was gone, so the manager brought me a fresh one just to photograph. This is a “must do” for anyone wanting to experience Pueblo Indian food. You will be very glad you came!
