The food was overall very good! \n\nThe elk chili was excellent, and the blue corn enchiladas were great. \n\nThe service was friendly and attentive.\n\nHowever, we were surprised to find an extra $5 charge for lamb, which made sense once we saw it, but our waiter didn’t mention it in advance, just told us it was an option. Also, both the water and iced tea were mostly ice, which was a bit disappointing.
Stopped at Indian Pueblo Kitchen in Albuquerque for lunch and ordered an Indian taco. It took an hour and a half to get my food, which was surprising since the restaurant wasn’t busy. When it finally arrived, it was just “okay” tasted like a mix of ingredients with little flavor, even with the added chilies. Definitely could use more spice. Other tables seemed to be experiencing the same long wait.
I am in town for work and wanted authentic food! After a quick Google search I was informed that there is a restaurant inside the museum that has delicious food and decided to check in! I highly recommend. I did visit on National Indigenous Day so I had to wait about an hour for a table but so worth it. I was adventurous and got the kool-aid fried pickles, a New Mexican soda and the blue corn enchiladas! Delicious!
