Best Irish food around! The bangers and mash was wonderful, as were the Scottish eggs and fish and chips.

TOP 10 BEST BREWERIES IN ALBUQUERQUE: #7: QUARTER CELTIC BREWPUB

My name is Matt, Albuquerque’s Brew Reviewer. I’ve tried over 200 local beers, and visited over 40 unique breweries in Albuquerque.

Taking up our #7 spot is Quarter Celtic Brewpub. I’m including both locations in this review since I have visited them both, and they are equally delightful. An Irish inspired dining/drinking experience, it immediately comes across as one of the most unique brewery atmospheres in the city. The smell of the aged wood, barrels, and beer mixed with all sorts of unique delicious food is instantly inviting. Their menu boasts a small, but impressive and consistent regular selection, with constantly rotating seasonals. All the beer here is delicious, but if you’re a Mead fan, this is the place to go. Some of them for sure are better than others and this drink may taste too strong for some, but it stays consistently fun to drink because of the unique flavors. The prickly pear seasonal mead was incredible. Their food menu offers a slightly Americanized, yet still really solid, rendition of classic Celtic dishes, but the advertisement around the fish and chips on the menu is surely no lie. To claim to have “arguably the best fish and chips in town” seemed like a gimmick to me, but upon having it, I have yet to find an equal rival. Grab your lads, and take on the paddy’s cure and slam a pint at Albuquerque’s seventh best brewery. And get those fish and chips while you're at it.

9/10.

The food was way too salty. The tartar sauce for the fish and chips was very onions. The poutine was excellent.
The bench seats on the patio were the most uncomfortable thing I ever sat on!

I came here a week ago for the first time and the beer and food was great, the employees working with me were also pretty nice. I came back today to buy some cans since I liked the beer so much last time, this time was completely different:

- Was met with a disrespectful employee while I was being told, 'we usually get the cans for people, all of the beer we have is on the wall' after I opened a fridge to pick out some cans to buy- leaving no room for questions.

- Said ok, and even apologized, then asked for a menu. Then she asked me why do I need a menu...? (Maybe so I can read the profile hops etc. on the beer since thats not listed, 'on the wall')? But I didnt even cop an attitude I just requested the menu again.

- Again, she asked me why I needed it and as a paying customer (I did buy the beer), why do I need to explain to someone why I need a menu?

- Finally I just told the employee that if she did not want me to spend money there I could just leave. Begrudgingly, she says, 'Im just trying to help' which I couldnt understand because being helpful would be treating your customers nicely, and understand that you work in a place that customers request menu's.

Love their beer, its actually some of the best I have had in a while. But, sadly all it took was this one employee not treating me nicely and being quite rude to me for no reason (only my second time here and I didnt see any sign or knew the policy of grabbing to go beers). Im a transplant and I dont know how much works here in ABQ yet but treating someone badly off of an assumption is not good service no matter where you are from. Wont be coming back nor purchasing their beer again because who you hire tells me a lot about your practices.

* Never been to a place that does not want customers grabbing to go cans with the to go cans located in the customer area *odd

First time stopping by, was met with good people and the beer here is spot on with the quentessential Irish hops and yeasts. I had a flight:

- Red ale
- Irish ale
- Irish stout - took a can home
- Irish Lager

Food:
- Fish and chips

I typically sit at the bar, and I prefer a bar without my back facing the door but this was the only thing I can provide feedback on; seating is cool, just a personal preference. Would of been nice for the music to be a bit louder to provide a bit of social privacy. I will come back.

The servers were so accommodating! They took our food order after the kitchen had closed. Based upon our server’s recommendation of the soup of the day, I had their fish stew which was to die for!!! It was more like a fish chowder.

My family was here last year, it was great. Went this year for a birthday, had a different experience. Had an issue with the food. The waiter gave us some ridiculous explanation regarding the meal. The manager looked like she had just gotten out of bed. The overall attitude of everyone we dealt with was very poor. We sent the meal back, got no apology, no offer of compensation, nothing. Definitely will not be going there again.

Thank you to everyone who recommended Quarter Celtic as having the best fish and chips in the area I moved to NM from a very small fishing town on the OR Coast, so am rather picky about fish and chips as the cod came directly from the ocean and was caught by local fishermen. Hard to live up to that. Quarter Celtic exceeded my expectations! Great atmosphere and service, too. One of the owners sat down to chat for a bit. It’s well worth the drive from Rio Rancho, but I wish there was one here. Quarter Celtic leaves the food and brew at Turtle Mountain and Bosque.in.the.dust. Not even close.

Everything a brewpub should be. Great beer, great staff, great food. Can’t wait to get back to ABQ to stop by again.

Food was sooo delicious. The atmosphere is pretty chill for slow night. Our service and server girl with bangs was slow, we had to ask for service a couple times and more refills. But she was really nice.

Typically, yummy Irish food! Our recent fall 24 visit was disappointing as the fish was overcooked, and mac and cheese weird with just cheese sauce poured over noodles. Great patio with shade. I typically enjoy the fish and chips and soft pretzel appetizer. Only craft beer, no Guinness! Service was good 👍

Parking: Covered parking option.
