Love this place ❤️! I've been a customer for 30+years, I've never received bad service. The food has been perfect all these years. My favorite the house breakfast. Portion is perfect size. I go at least twice a month.

This is by far the absolute worst “Mexican food” I’ve ever had ! It’s flavorless and unseasoned with a sloppy presentation! Salsa taste like canned tomatoes with tiny bit of spice! They definitely need to remove the “Mexican Restaurant” from the name and just call it Richard’s! What a disgrace🤮

Richard’s place is Tip Top! The most authentic Mexican restaurant in Albuquerque I’ve ever been/ service~perfecto! Taste~Boom! Value~mic drop!

11/26/25 - Unbelievable. Out of potatoes. Out of the Mexican Hamburger. Out of guacamole (and avocados). Yes, day before thanksgiving, but really? Only in NM. They usually close at 2 (dumb). Today at 1:30 (even dumber). At 2:15 we were asked to leave so they could finish cleaning (I mean they were already vacuuming around us at our table)…. Geez. We will not ever go back. Unbelievably rude and incompetent. All that being said, our server was great and apologetic and obviously embarrassed….the owner needs a Dale Carnegie course and a lesson in common sense and customer service!

Our absolute favorite spot, Richard’s feels just like eating at grandma’s. Every time we walk in, we’re welcomed with big smiles and that friendly, family vibe.

Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The green chile was the 1st I’ve actually been able to eat since moving here a year ago (didn’t burn my fact off and had lots of flavor!).

I was invited by a friend to lunch at this restaurant and I could not say no. Service staff was very nice and apparently among the local population, this restaurant is popular. I ordered carne adovada and it came with beans, salad, and potatoes. Sopaipilla came in a bread basket. I am sorry to say this but just the presentation of food made me lose my appetite. Everythong was totally overcooked and tasteless. Maybe this is how they eat it, but sorry, I would never order this stuff again. My last trip to this place for sure.

Went to try this place out on Thursday, July 17th and we were disappointed in the service. We were s party of 6, and there were maybe 5 people seated but 10 of us waiting. We waited at least 20 minutes before most of us walked out. Very unprofessional and we will not go back .
