We are from Dallas TX visiting. The person waiting on us was very kind and he cooked food fresh. A very relaxed atmosphere with very reasonable prices.

Worst experience ever will never try this place again and dont recommend anyone else trying it. They looked at us weird and treated us badly for wanting to eat in, the guy working the cashier wasn't happy that we wanted to eat in at all threw our straws at us, stared at us, and never even took our order. We ended up leaving because we weren't treated good from the beginning, How can you run a restaurant but be upset that you get customers? This place should close down.

EZ, going laid back spot, enjoy NOT being overrun by tourists. Rueben is actually in the kitchen every day cooking every meal. Taco special goes for $10. Carnitas are absolutely the bomb. Come relax for a dinner plate and enjoy the quiet atmosphere and great food🤙🏼🤙🏼. That local spot❤️

Food is great and Ruben is wonderful to deal with. For the third time, the waitress treats you like a burden as a customer, is confrontational and combative like she doesn't like her job as CUSTOMER SERVICE. No horchata, no albondigas, no matter. I left and ate down the street where the food is excellent and the custom service is consistently exceptional.

We come here on the weekends for lunch. Seems like it's always the same guy cooking. Whatever that guy's cooking it always smells good in there. One of his daughters is waiting tables. Foods always good at a good price.
This is in a strip mall so there's not much in the way of decorations.

2 Chile Relleno plates, and 1 plate of menudo
The chile rellenos were just scrambled eggs wrapped green chile so basically like an omelet.
Refried beans weren't smashed and didn't have any flavor.
The Mexican rice was dry and no flavor.
I told the server and she said the cook is lazy.
The waitress was nice but now I know why the restaurant was empty.

Some of my favorite Mexican food in town. They have the best Gorditas in town too! The staff is great, they are kind, friendly and always fun to chat with.

This food is outstanding!! Seriously, sooooo good. The fajitas, the tacos, enchiladas, chile rellano - super delicious and legit. The server was friendly and prompt, and did I mention how delicious the food is? The prices on the food are very reasonable. I’m definitely coming back here.

I don't know why Ruben's isn't more popular. Food is good. Prices are less than most sit-down restaurants in Albuquerque and they have lunch specials that are even cheaper. Red chile has plenty of flavor. Waitress is friendly. And a heads up for vegetarians: Their chiles contains no meat, which is hard to find in this city. I will definitely eat here again.

Delicious breakfast burritos New Mexico style, has an array of Mexican and New Mexican traditional dishes. Prompt and friendly service.

The food was excellent, we went at 6pm and it wasn't crowded. Took a bit to get our food. But the wait was worth it. I will definitely be there again.
