Some of my favorite Mexican food in town. They have the best Gorditas in town too! The staff is great, they are kind, friendly and always fun to chat with.

This food is outstanding!! Seriously, sooooo good. The fajitas, the tacos, enchiladas, chile rellano - super delicious and legit. The server was friendly and prompt, and did I mention how delicious the food is? The prices on the food are very reasonable. I’m definitely coming back here.

I don't know why Ruben's isn't more popular. Food is good. Prices are less than most sit-down restaurants in Albuquerque and they have lunch specials that are even cheaper. Red chile has plenty of flavor. Waitress is friendly. And a heads up for vegetarians: Their chiles contains no meat, which is hard to find in this city. I will definitely eat here again.

Best posole! Been sick the past couple days and have got it twice now and will continue to come back for it. The lady who helped me was super nice makes the experience that much better. Thank you!

Very old school. Always freshly made. Rubin is the owner and cook. Chips and salsa always included. My favorite Mexican restaurant in Albuquerque.

My niece used to work with Ruben for a few months, she used to come home complaining about being forced to do cleaning since no customers were visiting the restaurant, she even mentioned us that Ruben was using the same pair of gloves from 9am to 8pm, that means even when he was using the restroom he would never remove them, or change them after, that’s very disgusting! Can you imagine what those gloves went through while he was in the restroom?? Besides forcing his employees to do special cleaning instead of using a company for it, he’s also cooking your food with the same gloves he wiped his… uggh. I can’t believe this!
Service is not so good when the male server is there, (his son), seems to hate that place! That kid is very rude and disrespectful. Service is good when the female girl is there, you see every single customer happy as soon they walked in and she’s there. She’s very friendly. This used to be our favorite place to eat, my niece was excited to work there but after seeing how things really are…. She decided not to work for this machista guy, who thinks he’s always right! Be careful people! You might get food poisoning or even something worse, since you see Ruben walking around the store or using the same pair of gloves to use the restroom or to cook!

My favorite place to eat and unfortunately had a bad experience. I got some carne Asada fries i added guacamole and it was very old , dark in color. The lettuce was also old. I couldn't stomach what I did eat and couldn't finish the rest. All around everything tasted poorly and some of it was old product.
