Smells good when you walk in, cute atmosphere. Organization isn't great if you haven't been before. I tried this place before but I just don't like the food. This was my third visit, and it just didn't charm me. Sorry to the fans. I'm sure it works for you.

I recommend the brisket and half chicken.
Turkey is dry, potato salad had very little potatoes, and green chile stew was terrible. Tastes right out of a can..do not recommend.

I love this place so much that I opt to have my birthday dinner here than at any fancy restaurant anytime. The barbecue is amazing and their sauce is the best around.
For dinner, I typically order the half-rack baby back ribs, half lb. Brisket moist, and can't resist their cream corn! Ice tea fans will not be let down...their tea is the best in town and always fresh brewed, not overly sweet. I usually mix the sweet and unsweet teas, but that's my taste preference.
For lunch, I definitely recommend their baked potatoes! 1 or 2 meat choices, or plain...all are great, and a fair deal if you want an inexpensive but barbeque craving-buster. They are actually huge... enough to save half for a light dinner later. Most of my favorite local Albuquerque barbecue restaurants are sadly gone now, but Rudy's definitely fills the void for some great, smoky barbeque!

We ordered $70 worth of meat and only gave us 7 pieces of bread we asked for whole loaf and the white boy with glasses said 3 pounds for bread he didn't even say that we could buy one... There's no point of calling and complaining because ill never receive a gift card like before. He needs to be put to washing dishes. He needs to learn how to please customers and learn proper customer service before being on the register.

Rudy's is good BBQ for a good value. They treat veterans and law enforcement well. In Albuquerque, I love to share a meal with the men and women in blue. Spicy chop and brisket potatoes are both excellent!
