Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

The smoked turkey is Great! Excellent sausage. And melt in your mouth brisket. Yum yum yum. These meats were all 5 stars.

The only disappointment is the Prime Rib. Way overcooked. So much that there wasn't any red or pink in the center. All brown. In looking at a meat chart, this prime rib matched the well done image. Didnt see the color until i got home. It was for a special meal. So sad for such an expensive dinner. For this meat, 1 star.

Because everything I've had at Rudy's has been wonderful with one, big exception - the Prime Rib - I gave the food 4 stars.

Worst customer service and scammy advertising they said it’s a 3 pound chicken but most of it is just bone very disappointed with the order and manager Jacob didn’t even care when I told him that I would post a bad review because of the poor service I received from their restaurant

Rudy's BBQ is a nice joint to get fresh brisket or delicious turkey. It's sold over the counter per lb, Sides are extra- there is no platter available. The meat is great, freshly cut and tasty, so are the sides.

The atmosphere in this place is special- don't expect an restaurant-style. It's more like a cafeteria- benches to sit down, you don't have plates and eat right of the paper in which the meat is wrapped in.

I would say the meal was fair. I had the ribs and jalapeno sausage Rudy's beans and coleslaw.
Jalapeno sausage was good, ribs to me were just ok, coleslaw really didn't have much flavor and beans were ok.
Service was very fast place looked clean.

Found this gem by chance on our way up the interstate. So, so good. Juicy!! Didn't care for the slaw or stew, but the turkey, brisket, beans, and sauces...YUM!!!

Ribs are good, smoked baked potatoes are great if they haven't run out. The brisket, turkey and chicken are all meh ... Brisket is bad like they boil it like pot roast. Chicken and Turkey are always really overcooked and dry.
The staff is very hit or miss.
All the sides are tasty though, especially the desserts

One of my absolute favorite TEXAS barbeque places.
I'm so happy there's one here in Albuquerque.
Normally, I would give the 'food' rating a 5 ⭐ note.
And, it was still satisfying on my most recent visit, with my daughter and my husband.
But we were all a little let down because the brisket didn't have its usual moist and beefy rich flavor. It was dry and a bit bland.
We will return - I hope the issue gets a serious notice.
Rudy's is so good! Please fix the brisket! 🩷

This is still one of the best places to get real slow-smoked barbecue in Albuquerque. Their sides are simple and delicious, exactly what you would want wants expect from a traditional barbecue. The brisket is tender with a crispy spicy outer skin. Their turkey and chicken are flavorful.
The TV plays football and the speakers play country. What more would you want?
