IMO, the best sushi restaurant in the Albuquerque area. I have gone dozens of times and have never once been disappointed. The food is amazing, the service is beyond welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting. The chefs put out flawless entrees and appetizers. It's worth the drive if you live on the other side of town (or even the mountains) if you want the best sushi money can buy.

They have so much more than sushi. The menu was at least 5 pages. Went with a group. Everyone enjoyed what they got. It was all so fresh. I had shrimp tempura. I got soup first. My plate had rice and mixed veggies that was cooked perfectly. The shrimp had just the right amount of batter. Delicious. After we ate we were given a sweet tea.
I will be back

As a vegitarian they only have a couple options as far as sushi is concerned, but those options are delicious! The staff is very friendly and it has a great atmosphere. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and was very forthcoming about what we were able to and not able to eat as vegitarians so we appreciated her for that. It was crazy busy but worth the wait. Give it a try!

I highly recommend this place!
The sushi is delicious, but today I had the soft tofu stew and it was so good that it became my all-time favorite. :)
Also, the Korean server was incredibly kind and left such a touching impression—thank you!
Every dish here is tasty, and the service is wonderfully friendly.
I strongly recommend it. Thanks to them, I had such a pleasant evening.

By far this is my favorite place for sushi in Albuquerque. They are always so friendly, the place is clean, and the food is delicious. The pink lady is my favorite!

Sushi is the best ever. Do not order the teriyaki shrimp dinner though. It’s terrible. Tastes like warmed frozen cooked shrimp.

This place is by far the best sushi restaurant I have been to in a very long time. Being from Southern California, my wife and I can easily say this place is better than a lot of places in California. Our server was great, we didn't even know she was the owner till almost the end of the night. I found my new favorite sushi spot and highly recommend it.

This place was phenomenal. I love trying new places, especially since there's not a lot of different choices on the west side of town. This place may have been here for a while, but it was my first time visiting. And I was extremely impressed. Our waitress was nice, very tentative, and on top of it. She had amazing recommendations. We got the Albuquerque roll and the New Mexico roll, as well as the Bokobe bento box. All the food options were amazing. Very quick service, and a nice relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I’ve eaten here multiple times — yes, the service is usually good, and the location is convenient. But my most recent experience with takeout sushi was deeply troubling. While eating, I found what appeared to be worms in the roll. As someone with a manager’s food handling card, I can confidently say: this is one of the most serious food safety violations possible — especially when it comes to raw fish.

It feels like the owners have become complacent, more focused on profits than on protecting their customers’ health. What once felt like a place of care now feels like a business riding on reputation instead of quality. And let’s be honest — “Sakura,” the beautiful cherry blossom, does not come to mind when your food turns your stomach.

To make matters worse, arriving even 30 minutes before closing means being rushed out so the staff can “leave on time.” That’s not hospitality — that’s clock-watching.

Albuquerque deserves better. Please consider supporting restaurants that still take pride in food safety and customer care — not just appearances.
