stopped here for a quick dinner. got the shrimp basket and it was awesome! got a great amount of food for the price (7 shrimp and fries for $15!). the lady working there was super nice, too. the sauces that came with it were also really good. some chipotle mayo and cocktail sauce. 10/10 hit the spot

The shrimp basket is the thing to order here. The shrimp are miraculously crispy, not greasy, and ginormous. Substitute the fried okra for the fries and it will make you happy. The sauces are the perfect accompaniment.

Fish and chips are great. Second time I’ve had it but the service sucks. Cashier/cook sitting on bucket or something on the floor. Didn’t offer to take my order or even greet me.Totally rude help both times I visited. Over $18 for fish and chips.

I ordered the original shrimp basket with fries and it was exceptional. Shrimp were perfectly battered and fried to a crunchy exterior. I could really taste the love that went into my meal. Cooked with quality ingredients and the right amount of seasoning on the fries. I was just passing through on my way back home from Austin but if I lived here I’d definitely come back.

This place was recommended to me, so I came and tried their fish and chips with a coke. It was $25, and was pretty average. The fish and fries were both just ok without much flavor, and strangely enough, could really have used some salt. I would have asked for it at the counter, but the two employees were very busy and were not ready to engage with me.I ordered at the counter and was given a buzzer to signal me when my order was ready. After 20 minutes, spent watching my companions finishing their lunch which was purchased from another quicker vender, I went back to the counter to see how long it would be. As i approached, one the employees placed an order on the counter, made eye contact with me, and then headed back to the kitchen without saying a word to me. Turned out it was my order, and my buzzer went off, but she didn't know that.So, the service and the food could be much better, and there are better choices here under the same roof.

The market was great as usual. I will have to say I will not be visiting the Salty Catch for a while. I ordered the fish and chips with side of fried shrimp. The food was very good but the service was horrible. The staff was really friendly until the owner comes with attitude. I asked for a side of cocktail sauce for my shrimp. The employee right away was about to give me some and the owner tells me it's a dollar for a less than ounce of sauce. I mentioned to him I didn't get any sauce in the 1st place. He looked at me and said it don't come with the shrimp and for future reference I have to pay a dollar. He was very rude and for that I will not ever be back. Don't get me wrong I get that prices are going up but charging for condiments that should already come with your food is a bit much. By the way the BBQ place next door is also operated by the same owner.

On 5/16 my 86 year old mother and I received the absolute worst service. We tried several times to place an order and we were rudely given multiple excuses each time. “We’re not opened (even though it was 11:45), it’ll be another 15 minutes because I just started the oil, we’re having fryer issues”, etc. They never would take our order. We came clear across town to get the fish and chips but I doubt we’ll be returning. The two employees should not be working with the public.

The shrimp and lobster basket consists of eight pieces of shrimp and something I could not recognize as lobster, heavy coated with breading and semi-burned. There was a long dark hair winding through the fries. The dips are far from great. The lobster like substance was raw inside the semi burned coating. They offered to make it all over again for me. I should have asked for my money back. Fries are extra. Now I know.

where did you go if you're going to have bougie prices at a bougie cool place at least have a beautiful meal to offer. All it was as fries and fried fish and a packet of vinegar in a packet of some nasty tartar sauce. Make it nice you're trying to be beautiful and Chic aren't you? at least have a gorgeous slaw as well! Yuck and boring how embarrassing
