Coffee was great, but the food is awful! $8 for a small, burnt, tasteless burrito!
Interesting place to plug-in and do your wired thing. The coffee is fine and the other drink options are interesting. You can have breakfast, lunch, salads, whatever. Outside patio for slackers and smokers. if you're visiting, this venue is along the Nob Hill Strip (Rte 66). there are several others spread over the city.
Oh my heart! I studied here in college and dropped in at lunch to get some work done. I love, love, love supporting local coffee, but I was had on this one. Ordered a quad shot after finding they had Brazil on the espresso. Shots came out watery and astringent. Come to find out they were fixing their grinder so they had ground beans in an air exposed pulling cup. Whatever, still can pull a good shot from it... However, the barsita clearly did not have training on espresso machine (no packing, 9 second draw, no gram measurement). I was nice!!! I said, "Hey can i just have a coffee instead?" No biggie right? She said in a rude tone, "You dont like it? Well we think our espresso is great." Rude. Thats when I left. Poor product and Rude Service? Earned yourself a 1 star there... Management, if you wanna correct the training and attitude of this employee: Short haired brunette, purple hair, combed to the side... But I have a feeling she's management, so I doubt that will happen. So its so long Satellite! It was good! I'll miss you! #shouldhavewenttohumble
Enjoyed our group gathering on the patio. Loved my hot chai tea latte. Americano breakfast burrito was good. Really enjoyed the great customer service and the am since inside looked great too.
It was by coincidence that I had lunch in the university student union building at the Satellite Cafe. I was very pleased by the quality of the sandwiches they had. I liked the Grilled Italian veggie sandwich so much that I went there two days later to have the same sandwich. My friend had an artichoke sandwich and seemed to be enjoying it too. So glad Satellite Coffee is represented on campus!
This place has some good food and great coffee without draining the "bucks" out of ya! You will enjoy some local fare and ambience in each location.
Always a great place to get some liquid motivation. Great for single study, group study, or just immersing in a good book. Nice venue for people watching as well. Baristas are froendly and not pretencious like Starbucks.
I'm a writer, so finding and supporting local coffee shops that provide a solid working environment is important to me. Satellite has easy parking, a robust menu, and an open, friendly space. The staff was wonderfully helpful and courteous. There were plenty of outlets on the outskirts of the room, which is perfect for anyone looking to plug in their laptop and get stuff done. I ordered an Iced Dirty Chai which I thoroughly enjoyed, although it was a bit pricey. For the tastiness of the drink, the awesome staff, and the inviting space, the cost was well worth it. Highly recommend.
I really liked this coffee house. Excellent coffee and comfortable interior. The staff was very friendly and happy to answer my questions about Albuquerque and the University.
I like the free wifi and great coffee. The staff is efficient and friendly. I stop in to catch up on emails and get some work done when I have time to kill in Albuquerque.

This local chain (affiliated with Flying Star) offers excellent coffee drinks and desserts. Mochas and cappuccinos are killer!
Very welcoming little coffee joint. The staff was friendly and the coffee was great! We grabbed some iced coffees here's then walked down the streets of the Nob Hill neighborhood. Very funky vibes- in a good way!
tempted, the aroma inside this contemporary, upbeat coffee house could sway me. The family members with me thoroughly enjoyed their coffee delights [Does anyone drink plain coffee any longer?] while I enjoyed their decadent chocolate hazelnut cookie.
Besides being next door to one of my favorite places to eat lunch, Satellite is probably my favorite coffee shop. Locally owned and operated, they care and it shows through. The baristas know what they are doing, the snacks are good and the atmosphere is always nice.
Like someone else has already said, Satellite Cafe is better than Starbucks: The coffee is excellent, the food reflects local variety, and the interior as well as the exterior has that cozy local look. I have had several cappuccinos there, and those beat Starbucks both in quality and even in price. I usually go to the Central Avenue location, but I hear there are others, too. I also had a lovely burrito breakfast in one place, and their pastry look very good, too. The selection includes the upside down pine apple cakette, which is a must try if you are un Albuquerque. If you are a calory counter, however, you have to make your own decisions because unlike in Starbucks, in Satellite the colories are not reported. Some of their sweet drinks might be heavy on fat and sugar. There is nothing wrong with Starbucks, but if you like something more local yet close in quality, Satellite is a good choice.
