The food and beverages are insanely and grossly overpriced. $20 for a burger & fries. $7 for a medium soft drink. The food however is good. But charging $7.00 for what amounts to a "medium" size drink anywhere else and not even offer free refills? AYFKM?

Use to go here all the time for breakfast when we lived in NM. They had to update the equipment, which is now done. The picture doesn't do the taste justice.

Painfully limited menu with outrageous prices. My friend and I opted for the fish and chips,( that’s house made potato chips, dark brown, tasteless, not crispy or even salty. ) they charge about $8 for actual French fries, but we declined.
The fish had clearly been microwaved, was the weird frozen rectangular kind and was not house made. Really expensive but lousy food. Eat before you go at some place you actually know you like. We will if we ever come back.

I’m not one usually one to leave bad reviews, but they forgot our food, and after a long wait the manager was rude when I came to check on it. I was told we’d have to wait for the rest of the orders to be filled before they could make ours, which makes no sense to me. The food we did receive was not worth the price. It was fun to eat next to the fish tank though, and my kids loved watching the sting rays and fish and turtles during our long wait for our food.

Manager on duty was extremely rude today. They lost our order and when we asked them to make it again she acted like we were in the wrong and was rude to our face.

Awful customer service. Later we wanted to complain to a manager and the other staff told us the lady that was ugly with us was the manager. So disappointing.

This Is a really nice cafe for the kids since the aquarium is in view of the cafe. The food is also decent as well, fairly well seasoned and not outrageously priced. However, the service here is abysmal at best. The staffing are all completely unattentive. When I was ordering at this fast casual cafe, I was talked over and interrupted by the other staff to ask the person who was serving me if they wanted to go home early. The dining area, which has a large aquarium in it, is a great atmosphere, however we ended up cleaning our own table since several tables were left uncleaned in the space. When I was picking up my order, I was ignored and had to announce my presence to the staff who are engaged in their own conversation. At which point, they pushed the tray of food over without eye contact or acknowledgment.I’m frustrated because I paid tip for a severe lack of service. Being the aquarium and one of the few places in Albuquerque that could represent ourselves well to our visitor, the shark reef cafe falls extremely short. This place has the potential to be more but unfortunately I will not be returning until the staffing has been properly trained.
Kid-friendliness: Keep the kids entertained here while dining.

The kitchen is under construction which there are many signs that indicate this. No where does it say that food is being made in another kitchen and to allow an additional 30 minutes for your order. We did this and then our order was given to another customer on accident and so we waited an hour for food, and we actually never got the entire order. No apologies, just excuses. This place would be great with better management and staff.
