Host and manager greeted us at the door pleasantly, and were seated as soon as possible. Our server Amadeus had a great sense of humor and was very attentive throughout service. Thank you all for a great experience.

This place is so good I had to go back again today. When we first walked in there is a hostess, she was sweet and gave us the option of the bar or a table. We chose the bar since we wouldn't have to wait. Violet was our server and she was so sweet. She was patient with us while we looked over the menu. I got the steak and eggs. The steak was perfectly cooked to my liking. The mimosas were good and affordable. A friend recommended this place and I want to go again tomorrow but I have to slow down lol.

My server was very nice and friendly. The gluten free club sandwich lacked any effort other than to assemble the pieces. Everything was basically falling apart on the plate. Generally gluten free bread crumbles if it's not toasted, and there was no effort to make an assembled sandwich on this day. Jason deli does a much better job actually. The gluten free cupcake selection was a delight, however. The German chocolate cupcake was awesome.I just don't think I'll make an extra effort out of my way to pursue the gluten free options in the future, based on the price and the lackluster sandwich.

Not the best experience at a restaurant. The food was good but the service sucked. When you go to a restaurant you expect to be waited on. That was the opposite of what happened. It took a long time after sitting down to receive even a drink order. When asking the waitress questions about the mimosa of the day it seemed like a huge inconvenience to offer any answers. The same when asked about the type of cheese for the hamburger. The final straw was when my boyfriend asked for a beer that never came. I was never offered a second drink and my glass of water remained empty. Awful waitress but I did enjoy the burger.

Love the atmosphere of this cafe, very industrial chic. You are greeted by a host and seated. My friend and I were seated upstairs (which we loved) in very comfy chairs. However, it did take awhile to be seen by our server who, when he did eventually show, severely lacked hospitality. After our food was served, he did not stop by again until we had to call him over for our checks, half an hour later. The food was tasty, though, and our cranberry-pomegranate mimosas were delicious enough to try a second visit.

Not your run of the mill brunch. I loved the chicken sausage on green chili biscuits. The tortillas are fresh and very good. The bacon is sweet. Serving size is good. My granddaughter had the child’s portion of French toast with fruit. This was very good too.Kid-friendliness: Good children menu and cups with lids made it easy

A modernist brunch Diner. With a perfectly sized menu and well stocked bar come to the Slate Street Cafe to fulfill your brunch craving. Sit down and enjoy the sounds of midmorning bustle while chowing down on some great brunch. With many options to choose from and more options from Friday- Sunday (some items are not available during the week), they will have what you need to satisfy your craving.

Food was good and fresh. Had breakfast burrito with Christmas sauces, both really good, green sauce is chunky chilis, red sauce basic enchilada sauce. Fruit cup was fresh, biscuit was moist and soft without putting butter on it. Didn’t love the coffee, especially for $3.50 ea.

I always give a restaurant two tries before giving them a bad review. At my first visit, I wasn’t allowed to order because I arrived within five minutes after closing time. They wouldn’t even let me place to go order even though the dining room was still full of people who were eating. The kitchen was definitely not shut down by then so that was a bit too strict. For my second visit, I ordered a breakfast burrito to go. I had to wait over 30 minutes for them to hand it to me, it cost $14, and as soon as I cut it open, I found a long hair. I made them give me a refund and then I went to twisters where I had a burrito handed to me within three minutes for about 5 bucks.
