Best coffee in Albuquerque. Atmosphere is great for conversation or getting some work done.
The coffee is a solid 7.5/10 but the staff always seem to be bothered that they have to help you. I get that it’s cool to be grungy and mysterious, but being friendly is cool too. Plenty of other local coffee shops that are excited for customers. After our 4th experience, it’s fair to say it wasn’t just a cashier with a bad day.
This is one of my favorite coffee shops! I always order their mocha or the lucky thirteen (a seasonal latte). They offer milk alternatives, they sell their beans in store, and you can get first pick of some local baked goods if you go in the morning before they sell out. As for the atmosphere, the vibes are immaculate inside. There is art on the wall and they have a table you can sit at that has a small book selection to peruse.
Service could have used some improvements
Best chai in town. Homemade and with or without sweetener
The cortado was a 1 star- bitter to the point where I had to check if there was milk; there was, which means the espresso shot quality was poor. I went when the cafe was empty, and can imagine drink quality would be worse during a rush, although there is not much room to fall. Beautiful place though, +1 star for that
Delicious coffee & Lovely Staff ☕️🫶🏼✨
Gorgeous, gay, serene space to read and do computer work. My oat milk latte was excellent, the baristas were genuine and kind, and they honor a discount for bringing your own cup! BIPOC LGBTQ+ good vibes ☕️
Had the cold brew. Was really good. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. I'll go back for sure
Slow Burn has the best coffee in town! The baristas are great here. Also, love their treats and atmosphere.

Really nice coffee house.
Great ambience, great coffee!
Cool bags
Such a cool place. Great coffee, roasted on site and an incredibly good pinto bean vegan burrito.
Such a peaceful vibe in here. Great place to get some computer work done. Good matcha
i typically only leave reviews if i have something positive to say, but after giving this place multiple tries ive decided to leave a review. First time i came in the girl taking my order was straight up mean to me when i tried to order an espresso con pana, i ended up getting a vanilla latte and a double espresso, both were very not good. recently went back for a work meeting and the coffee was phenomenal, but the customer service was once again bad. pretty sure it was the same girl taking my order as last time. I’m a coffee professional myself, and ive heard great things from other people in the abq coffee scene, so i really wanted to like this place, but hit or miss coffee and straight up rude baristas just isnt really worth it in my opinion. there’s lots of great coffee in abq and definitely better options nearby slow burn.
