From my experience It is a food truck between the two buildings.I ordered the Birria Ramen and it was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was fast and if you wanted too they offer seating under a tent.I came here at night so I can't really offer an accurate description of the atmosphere.

This place is consistent, the first place we want to eat is Padilla’s. We travel from Wisconsin to Albuquerque NM to visit family. We have to eat there at the least 2-3 times to get our fix. The chili is bar none the best, their sopapillas are soooo good. One man that has been there for years. He buses the tables and always brings smiles to the customers, makes people laugh. It’s always a great experience. It is a whole in the wall restaurant and always a line; definitely worth the wait.

Highly recommended for authentic time-proven (1977) New Mexican cuisine. It was our first visit, but definitely not our last! Be prepared for a line at certain times of the day, but it moves fast. One of the family member/owners interacted with us on a personal level and was extremely welcoming. Located in a strip plaza with tight parking. Outstanding food and fluffy sopas! CASH only.

Food was just OK, it was just like the Tex-Mex we get in Houston, just not as good. The beans had not been cooked long enough so they were still a little hard. You did get enough food for the money. Crowded, but service was good. The sopapillas were great, large, with honey on the table. Two per person come with the meal, so we brought two for next days breakfast. Would only go back for the sopapillas.

Do not go there battlements who want flavorless tacos. I went for some tripitas tacos and they were very ugly, not well cooked and a lot of tallow. And the sauces are very ugly too, they don't even give you red sauce! I don't recommend it as there are many lunch boxes with better quality food.

Padillas is NOT vegetarian-friendly. They have meat in everything including their green and red chile. If you are looking for vegetarian options - don't even bother.

Still the #1 New Mexican restaurant in New Mexico!! Beans tasted fresh. Chili was hot. Service was great.

Very simple menu, quickly served and a family owned establishment. Authentic basic dishes that are reasonably priced. I found their red sauce very spicy.

Very expensive for an order of quesabirria and they are not freshly poured, the consommé tastes like it has been in the refrigerator for days, the tortilla is already old and it is pure oil, it is not consomme before, it was good here, better tacos the
