UPDATED REVIEW: After speaking with the manager/owner, I was able to find out that what I experienced was simply a case of poor employees. The way the shaved ice came out was not the way it was supposed to (which I suspected). I am very grateful she took the time to call me and express her disappointment in her employees actions as well as refund me and inform me they would be doing more education with their staff. I know it is hard to find good employees with the new working generation, so I can sympathize with that. I do want to come back and give this place another chance, however, I will say I am nervous to come back if the same staff is working. My husband did say he thought the sorbet was really good, I unfortunately wasn't able to try any other options but am willing to give this place another chance!

Really upset with what just happened to us at this store. I ordered a Hawaiian shaved ice and did not like how it came out because it was solid ice around the ice cream. While it as being made, the younger boy who made it didn't seem to quite understand how to work the shaved ice machine. I didn't even attempt to eat it and asked for either a refund or something to replace- to which I was told "well we made it right, so we cant do that". The two younger teens working were acting very unprofessional (joking around, doing school work/ writing a paper, and whispering to each other after I complained). I saw the photos of what the shaved ice was supposed to look like on the reviews and it did not look like what was served to me. I usually try and leave good reviews for local, small businesses because I’d like to promote business to them- but this service was the worst I’ve ever had and truly warranted a one star review. I know the manager wasn’t there at the time and I left my contact info to discuss this with her. I really hope this is just a case of poor employees.

A perfect little ice cream shop! Refreshing for a hot day or for a sweet treat any time of the year. Everything I’ve tried has been amazing, and their affogato is to die for! The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s definitely a must-visit in Rio Rancho!

We are visiting the area and couldn’t decide between gelato and ice cream. We fell upon this place and are so glad that we did. Prices are fair for a small business, staff was very helpful and friendly. We happened to come while they were trying to take a break, and they jumped up without hesitation. Taste was great, portions were as expected for the sizes that they were. Adorable atmosphere. Perfect for a date night or out with the kids, even friends catching up. Reading other reviews, it looks as if they are under new ownership and they are doing a great job!

It's a cute place to hang out. The young lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. The gelato was great, as well as the Italian cream soda. Great place for a sweet treat.

This was the first time there. I just happened to stumble on this little ice-cream shop by accident. I was working in the area and was taking my lunch. I went in for ice-cream and the service was absolutely great. The Ice-cream was so good on a hot Wednesday. I give it double thumbs up. I can't remember the girls name that served me but she was very nice and helpful. I definitely will be returning to try something different.
