Just had an unfortunate experience. Got done with a workout and decided on a poke bowl. Arrived at Sushi Freak at 7:15 pm knowing that they closed at 9:00 pm. There was a hand written sign on the door saying that they were "closing early at 8:00 pm due to staff shortage". Opened the door and the person behind the counter looked at me with a slight scowl as he was preparing a roll. I asked if they were still open. He mumbled something unintelligible without looking up. I responded that I'd "come back some other time". He never looked up or responded as I walked out. Really poor service.

I wish someone from the franchise quality control would audit this place. It continues to be awful and I go back hoping it’s changed but it hasn’t.

Had a California roll combo, with edamame. The roll itself was good but honestly the edamame made the whole meal worse. Would come back because I enjoyed the roll but wouldn’t try the side again.

It was 8, they close at 9 and they wanted to tell us the lobby was closed? Didn’t give ginger or cucumber salad on the side how you usually get. The quality was just not it at all, i remember why i stick to the one at uptown, they never disappoint and it’s not up charged smh.

I used to work at this location for about a year and a half as a shift lead so I completely understand how demanding the job is but this current state of this place is disappointing. I’ve continued to be a customer for years after i’ve left and i’ve slowly seen a decline in the service.the staff no longer greets customers, it’s feel almost awkward like you’re invading their space ? the guy who took our order seemed so annoyed that we even came in. and they are extremely slow, they move with no sense of urgency whatsoever. i also understand that there are many steps but sometimes all they need is to pick up the pace. they also do not use proper techniques of rolling sushi so your rolls fall apart and i’m sure many customers can attest to that as well. there’s also no music which makes the vibes horrendous. the staff also makes no effort to talk to the customer which was something that we used to be told to do. it makes the whole experience excruciating because they are taking forever and not talking… i’m not sure if this location is still under the same ownership but i think they do need to be held to some standards. i honestly feel like it was a waste of money and time. i also totally understand what it’s like to be an employee here and i’m sure that they don’t want to put in effort for this job and that’s totally fine but this is not the job to have that mindset at. there are plenty of fast food places that they would be much happier at.

The worst customer service, they just ignore you until they can take your order. No smile no greeting. A bunch of your ignorant kids. Need all new staff everyone here does not have any customer service skills and hate their job!!

We arrived at 7:57pm. Hours state open til 8pm. If you are going to stop serving people before then you should advertise that. I don’t know what kind of business would not want to make money and serve people within business hours.

Don't, it's expensive, bland (unless you love crab and mayo flavoring overpowering the other ingredients). Spring rolls are oily and mushy inside; besides the flavorless food the place is not echo- friendly packaging, which by the way they also use if you decide to dine in.

I had terrible experience and to be quite frank. I will NEVER eat here again. For YOUR sake and your pocket book, there are better places to spend your money. I made a $132 order, tipped 25%, and my order was wrong. Not only that, they tried to cheat me out of the two items I paid for. They were rude and incompetent. They tried to lie to me and say they were so busy. I was across the parking lot, and there is a brewery in that shopping center - they were not that busy. When I came inside to pick up my order, only two people were sitting at a table about to leave.
