To be honest, I was not expecting what I received. I was driving back from my fiance's reunion, and we wanted sushi but everything was closed except for this place. I was thinking I would get some grocery store grade sushi if I was lucky. Boy, was I surprised. This was amazing sushi with huge portions. The young man working there was very polite and even got tortillas for us for free from another vendor, as my fiance wanted some tortillas. I will definitely be coming back here, as the food is amazing with the best portions. Perfect blend of Mexican flavor with sushi, and I highly recommend this place. They should open a restaurant.

My favorite sushi in ABQ. Order ahead, or you'll be waiting in your car, which is a good time with the right person ?

Tried the Seafood Noodle Soup, it had plenty of scallops, shrimp, mussels and crab in a yummy broth, service was good even though we came in close to closing, will leave enough time on the next visit to try the sushi

As good as any Sushi Restaurant in the Desert Southwest, Sushi King gives us personalized service, good vibes and good food every time we go there. O is a master Sushi Chef with a great attitude. He will never let you down.

Quite honestly this isn't California, Denver or New York. This the land of enchantment....So let me enchant you..:) This was tasty delicious Japanese affordable food (T.D.J.A.F.-badge..:). I could wear this badge proudly. The beef yakisoba with chilli sauce requested and humbly received, was most elegant. The pan fried noodles were a perfect al dente bathed in a yaki sauce; accompanying these auspicious noodles was steamed cabbage, broccoli, green onions, carrots, bean sprouts, veggies and delicious strips of beef. Hai! time to try more..:) Thanks for reading. Saiyūshū-shō Avram

A quick bite before the movie and still greasy and tasty. The fresh water eel nigiri is really delicious as is the New Mexico roll; a fried green chile with fresh vegetables. The gyoza is fresh made and crispy with a yummy peanut sauce.

The Sushi King is located in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. The atmosphere is less than appealing and parking can be difficult. They have paid meter parking. There are some parking garages that are within walking distance. The main enter and egg rolls I had were average in presentation and flavor. I got a noodle dish with tofu and veggies. The avacado roll was yummy. Diners can order boats and trays of sushi and people do! The prices are moderate to high. They have a raspberry ice tea and lemonade for your hot thirsty days. The most enjoyable experience was the very hard-working and friendly waiter. I have eaten at this Sushi King 4-5 times. It’s a good place to order Sushi.

Accessible, and near to everything downtown, this place offers fresh sushi made with a knowledgeable hand. We had to send back for extra rolls. The cook was on a roll <g>, and the wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu and beyond merely helpful. We finished dinner and sat around talking over saki. Never were we rushed to leave, or made to feel anything but welcome.

Combo A for lunch. Great price. Big smile at how fresh the fish tasted. Excellent squid salad. Wife happy with her Happy Roll. Still right on the money with sushi and special rolls. I hate to knock places I love, but I do have a reservation about part of the menu. I've had their noodle soups and enjoyed them in the past. However, this time we ordered Yakisoba to go. 1 beef. 1 chicken. We were going to the Kimo that evening for a show and didn't want to cook at home. Even making allowance for the fact that the dishes were reheated, they were disappointingly blah. Not a real big deal. We'll just avoid that those dishes in the future and stick to what we love.
