I had the chicken taco salad. It was prepared quickly and tasted great. The salsa bar offered a variety of fresh, flavorful sauces. The dining area was very clean. Tables were cleaned as soon as diners completed their meal.

I'll never go there again. We ordered at the drive thru and when our food was delivered, the containers were sideways. Food was all over. We ordered enchilada plates. Never again, not for 40 bucks.

I dont normally write these, but I was so disappointed with the service and food quality, I order a number 59 two fajita tacos on flour tortillas, ive always ask to get my beef diced this manager lady would not dice the beef, so i switch to order street tacos because the beef is diced but they come on corn tortillas, which i ask if i can switch to flour tortillas again the manager who is hiding behind the wall refuses to switch the tortillas from corn to flour?? Ive been eating Taco Cabana for a very long time and there has never been an issue with taking an extra minute to dice up beef! She was the most rudest manager ive ever dealt with! I myself am in customer service, (I work at a cell phone company the biggest one) so to not oblige your customer was very disrespectful and i will never go to this Cabana again, besides that when i got back to work to eat my lunch the meat was really old and not edible at all, my daughter ordered street tacos plain no cilantro or onions and they still put cilantro after we we asked them 3 times not to do! I can throw money away for food but everything is so expensive now it sucks having to go thru this for a decent meal! They offer a build your own flour tacos they could have served me that with diced beef, i just truly dont understand why that Lady manager would not take care of me the customer??? Now the customer is not always right but in this instance I was well in the right to request something done a lil different, because i prefer it that way??? I took some pictures of the food i was given besides the point of not getting what i wanted and its sad! Sad because theres no pride in whats served anymore!! My favorite question is would you the worker eat this old not edible tough beef when you sit down for your break? And no they most likely would not……So why would you serve it to your customers the people that make sure you have a job!!!! Without me the customer this place would close up! So thank you manager lady for saving me the trouble of ever eating at this taco cabana on San mateo ever again! Ill drive to montgomery where its not an issue to dice my beef up for my two lil flour tortilla tacos! Ive enclosed to the two pictures of my sad sad not edible food!!!

I got a beef soft taco and a chicken quesadilla. The taco was okay, but I didn't really like the quesadilla. It had a small piece of cartilage in one of the slices and had an overall unique taste that I didn't care for. The taco was good, and the hot salsa that I got for it didn't really add anything to it. The salsa was not spicy at all.

Ordered chorizo egg combo breakfast . Hardly any chorizo mixed with the egg . Need to retrain whoever did this mix today. Guess I'll only go to the other locations that do it right. So disappointing. Doesn't anyone do quality checks hourly in that kitchen? And wasn't very temperature hot. I'm a former kitchen inspector so I can be very critical . RETRAIN !

The service is awful—they constantly mess up orders, hold onto your debit card, and even steal your personal information. They’re unprofessional and unreliable. Be very cautious and avoid this place if you can!

I ordered the eggs mexicana, it's my favorite! The eggs and bacon were good as usual, however- the beans had some weird yellow fibers or hairs in it. Maybe someone's sweater or a cleaning cloth? I was pretty grossed out by it and couldn't finish which sucked cuz I was really hungry.
Went at 9:40 when website says they close at midnight, heard staff running and hiding in back with all the lights on. Update your website for correct hours, extremely unprofessional.

Taco Cabana is pretty good for a chain restaurant. I think their flour tortillas are amazing. They are the smaller ones, but I still buy them to take home... I'd say they are a level above Taco Bell for fast food.
