We tried this place after it was highly recommended on social media. It was Excellent. Staff were great and food was even better. We’ll be back next week when softball brings us back to Albuquerque. Hadn’t had anything this good in a LONG time. I feel they have already outgrown their current location. Congratulations to this eatery for a job well done.

if you haven’t stopped by Tacos El Muchacho Alegre I suggest you do! Best spot in Albuquerque we have tried so far. Plus doesn’t beat they have the friendliest staff. I didn’t catch her name but the cashier there is the best, thank you guys again for the great food and service! (Food in pics is their carne asada fries and tray of tacos half chicken half asada)

Got quesabirria tacos that were so good. Homemade tortillas, the beef and consomme were incredible. Friendly service and the restaurant was impeccably clean. First time in, will not be the last

So I recently stopped by Tacos El Muchacho Alegre and wow! The first time I went, I tried their barbacoa and al pastor tacos. The barbacoa with the green salsa was my favorite! They also hand make their tortillas and it makes a difference! I loved it so much that I went back the next day to try their carne asada fries and it was another great choice!

What made it even better was that I went during their happy hour when all their entrees were $9.99! Can’t beat that price for the amount of delicious food! And I can’t forget the customer service… it was top notch!

Made me a happy boy! They had a taco Tuesday special for a 10-taco tray, $20. The pastor and carnitas were fantastic. Abundant, not dry, so tasty. Best tacos on this part of town, by far. Sauce is so good, I drank it from the little container. Will go back and try every single thing on the menu.

I ordered tacos, which came with generous amounts of meat, onion, and cilantro. The in-house made salsas and tortillas were incredible. Lucky I live close because I’m coming back!
