The most amazing whiskey we have ever tasted. It is so smooth you can’t even believe it. You have to try this new brand I just found.

my wife and I took the guided wine tasting with Jennie on June 30, 2023. Jennie provided a lovely charcuterie to accompany our sampling of wines, which was important to us as we prefer to have some food with our wines. We sampled a very nice selection of VARA wines and Jennie taught us about every wine. Our enjoyment was made all the better with the in depth teaching of why the wine was made, how it was made, and a lot of great information to explain all the whys that my wife had about each wine. It was such a laid back experience but full of knowledge parsed out in a fun way. Would definitely recommend VARA wines to anyone who appreciates great wines and the guided tasting is a must!

Our server left us unattended for almost 45 minutes. We did not have the opportunity to order more food or drinks. The tables around us experienced similar issues. Our main course (pork chop) was serve at room temperature, not hot. The salad portion vs price was what we expected, too small. The staff is usually extremely good and this is our first negative experience. Most of the staff seemed new and the restaurant was busy.

We really enjoyed VARA,S menu last year. We went multiple times taking many new people to enjoy the outdoor searing area and these great tapas plates. VARA wine is spectacular especially for a local winery. Many selections which included, chicken skewers, asparagus plate, beef plate and a potato plate with sausage. This year we went back for our first visit. The outdoor dining area was great, service was ok but tapas lacking. This year plates were mainly starches, very little proteins except pork which several in our group don't eat. We sincerely hope that this years tapas menu can be revised to include more proteins as we really enjoy this venue. We don't know if we can easily recommend VARA to friends given the current menu.

The tapas selection was quite meager. The menu on Open Table I looked at just prior to going there had an extensive selection that did not exist. It was a mystery to everyone there but it was disappointing. We ended up having to order dishes we weren't particularly interested in because we needed to create a meal for four. The High Desert Martini was interesting. I was already familiar with the wines and do like several .

We wanted to sit outside to overlook ABQ. But few tables and mostly in the sun. The service was so-so. Waitress explained all well but later couldn't remember which couple ordered what. Food was good. However we doubt that we will go back.

The wines were very good and we enjoyed our tasting. We purchased a red wine to drink there and they packaged what was left to bring home. The tapas we had were very good. The desert took a while to be prepared so we took it to go.

This was a wine education/product tasting. Jen shared her vast knowledge and enthusiasm for 2 hrs as we progressed for through the backstories, development and structure of 6 Vara offerings. Well done. Our daughter was impressed and became a club member!

Friendly atmosphere to enjoy an outing. We enjoyed a wine "flight" then partook of several tapas which were delicious. Finally we took home a bottle of their exquisite wine. Take a moment to enjoy an outing at Vara..you won't be disappointed.

We had so much fun at VARA. Tried a flight of 4 wines along with several tapas and dessert. All four of us were impressed at how relaxed we felt...no rush to leave...and how friendly and attentive the staff was. The tapas were a delight and each was just right for us to share. Soooo good!

New menu offers few choices and the prices far outweigh the quality or quantity of the food. Overpriced!

A group of friends and family did the wine tasting. Jennie was amazing; so learned and it was fun. Wines were enjoyable.

The service was basic. You would think that at a winery the server would want to talk about the wines. They just serve and take off. Also, I was expecting crackers or nice bread with the cheese platter but instead we got toasted butter bread which was odd. The lights are too bright in there so the ambience feels like a warehouse.
