The most amazing whiskey we have ever tasted. It is so smooth you can’t even believe it. You have to try this new brand I just found.

Had a cocktail staff was super busy but pleasant. I will return to enjoy a flight of wine or try their bourbon flight.

Updated:After the owner replied, I had a chance to make a few cocktails. Both old fashioned and whiskey sours, the spirit definitely makes better cocktails then served on the rocks or neat, with the right mix the ethanol flavor goes away. Again I really, really want to like this as a local whiskey drinker and fellow veteran who owns a small business. Maybe it’s just about setting expectations. I get it, as a start-up, you can’t wait for eight years to have a sellable product, but the accelerated aging process not a substitute for proper aging, it doesn’t get the mellowness and subtleties of flavors that comes with sitting in oak barrels for years. Don’t buy this thinking that it’s going to be as smooth as similar or ever cheaper priced whiskeys which were properly aged, but if you want to spend a little more to help a small business and have a whiskey that will make decent cocktails this might be for you. I intend to make it into the distillery one of these days.

I was introduced me to Taylor Garrett Whiskey at a party and my friends told me the story of how it is made in 6 days. It is amazing! I generally do not like whiskey straight up because it burns my throat when I drink it no matter how expensive! However, I LOVE whiskey above all other drinks. I have just always mixed my Jack or Crown in Coke. My friend encouraged me to take a sip of Taylor Garrett Whiskey straight up over ice, and I did. I loved it!!! It was very smooth going down and just warmed my throat instead of burning it. I could taste the flavors and it felt like warm spices with a slight smoky taste and oh so smooth. I'm not a connoisseur for sure but I know a great tasting whiskey when I drink one! This is one whiskey I can drink over ice! Love! Love! Love! I plan to buy my own bottle as soon as I can!

My wife and I just visited this local get away. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. We specifically came to try the “ Taylor Garrett Whiskey”. This whiskey is advertised as being “accelerated” and only being aged for 24 hours in Oak Casks. We sampled some of it and was thoroughly impressed. We are typical whiskey drinkers and have tried several varieties from multiple distilleries. The smell was mildly sherry and Peat, which was surprising. The taste was very good with hints of caramel, smoke, and tannins with a quick finish. The finish was exceptionally smooth. The whiskey was so good, I bought a bottle. Scott, the distiller, came and talked with us about the whiskey. This just added to the inviting feel to this place. We will absolutely be back.

I went to Vara Winery with some friends and was delighted to find out they sold whiskey too. I have tried many whiskeys that I didn't like, but when I tried Taylor Garrett Whiskey I really liked it. I had read reviews in several articles around Albuquerque and wanted to give it a try but couldn’t remember where to get it because the pandemic hit. So when given the opportunity I jumped on it! Excellent! It was very smooth with just enough burn. The flavors were rich and spicy. I highly recommend this whiskey. I left with my own bottle. Good stuff!!!
