The restaurant being situated inside the casino, in my opinion, took the overall ambiance down a notch or two. The service was extremely friendly, but as there only one person hosting, serving food, tending bar, busing, and whatever else was needed in the front area, the service was very slow. Not in the way a fancy dinner may be experienced as leisurely but as in a breakdown of service. The food was very nice, steak cooked exactly to my request. But in other dishes, too many peppercorns were added, overpowering any other flavor. The setting was quite nice with the Leroy Neiman paintings, chandeliers, upholstered chairs and linen on tables. There were only two other parties as we dined, yet service was still slow. Overall, I do not see myself returning.

We went for Mother's Day, and the ambience was great and the food was good. But the service was very slow. It took one full hour for the salads to come out after we place the order. We asked the waiter three times where the salads were and he kept forgetting. Finally, when they did come out, they were kind of wilted. Then the entrees came out and they were good, but then we had to remind him again several times for the dessert that came with the meal and for the to go boxes. The food was good but service was not.

The service was just too slow for Mother's Day.. it was not crowded either. We arrived at 12 and did not leave til 2 due to the service being extremely slow

This was outstanding and we will definitely go again. The food was wonderful and the service was as well.

Food was excellent. Decor pleasant. Waiter was attentive. I am sad that there were not more folks enjoying the Crown Room. Open two nights a week certainly limits attendance and exposure. I hope it improves...its certainly a worthwhile dinner experience.

The experience was disappointing. A three-hour dinner with lots of waiting. We went at Thanksgiving where they served a limited menu, which may have contributed to the problem, but should have made things easier. The food started out luke warm. We had to ask for everything and then wait. After the initial serving, we asked for gravy for the mashed potatoes and turkey--which arrived 20 minutes later. It should have arrived with dinner. No dinner rolls and then no butter--each another request. The desserts were impressive and tasty, but also took 20 minutes to arrive. Perhaps this was a one-off caused by the unique menu. Luckily, we had good company to pass the time.

We made a reservation for tonight, 17 Aug to celebrate our Anniversary. We get there. All dressed up, to a closed restaurant. The casino ppl called the restaurant who said that they didn't have the staff so they just didn't open. UNACCEPTABLE!! They could have called or emailed to let us know

Open tables book and sent 2 confirmation but when we arrived the Crown Room was closed. We ask and were told they have no regular schedule. It was a Friday night at 7:00pM Either the restaurant or open tables need to address this.

Wait staff needs training to improve the fine dining experience. We had to ask for most things. Was not offered wine list, coffee with desert and waiter made us feel rushed and entrée was offered before we were done with our salads. I really enjoyed the food quality and the ambience. Please train your staff!

Fantastic meal and service. A true 5 star experience one would expect of a fine dining restaurant. Our server, Lucas, was a joy and catered to our every need. I can’t recommend The Crown Room more.

There are two menus floating around on the Internet for this restaurant. The one I found was less expensive and had a more extensive list of foods. Our friends found the same one. The one my husband found was more expensive and had only a few entrées. That turned out to be the right one. The food was way too expensive, and even sauces for the steaks were add-ons. Also, the wine list was really expensive. Cheapest bottle was $60 and it went way way up from there. We decided to just get glasses rather than a bottle. I asked the waiter if he had any kind of red house wine that wouldn’t be too expensive and he asked if I liked Merlot, and I said sure Merlot is fine, thinking that he was going to give me a wine that would be reasonably priced. The conversation had an “I’ll take care of you, don’t worry” feel to it My husband ordered the same. Our friend had white wine and also asked for a glass that wouldn’t be too expensive. For some reason when we got the bill, our friend’s wine was $15. our wine for the two of us was $54. $54 for two glasses of merlot, short ones at that, is a lot. For six dollars more we could’ve gotten a bottle had we known that we would not be getting an inexpensive wine after all. Anyway, no one likes surprises. No one likes to walk in to a place and find out the menu she saw on line was, apparently, an old one.. Most people in this area don’t like super expensive glasses of wine. The steaks were good. The waiter was very friendly. it might be the right restaurant for some people but as we like to go out to dinner frequently and we’re all on fixed incomes it was not the right one for us. There was only one other couple there on a Saturday night, so that tells you a lot. .

This place is a scam. I was over charged on my shrimp cocktail and brought it up to the server, was told the menu was up to date. Was also charged $38.00 for ONE GLASS, not bottle of Moscato, also brought that up and was told more excuses. Also the light didn’t work on our table and was fed more excuses. Food is mediocre, there definitely trying to make up for what they put into it. No wonder there was only 2 tables filled in the restaurant on a Saturday. A nice restaurant in the hood ?.Do not waste your time and money here, go to Juniper Steakhouse at Santa Ana 10/10 for sure.
